Google Nexus 7 vs Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7

I just can't make my mind up.

Nexus 7 - More powerful processor, better screen, 16 GB but no SD slot

GT2 - Expandible memory w 32GB micro SD and free keyboard


Which one??????

No, it's a 7" tablet.

I say Nexus 7, yes the GT 2 has more memory, but if you use stuff like dropbox, online music services then 8 or 16gb is enough.

I only have 8gb on my Galaxy Nexus and i have never gone under 3gb left. All my music is either stored online or i use some type of music player.

There are many cloud services you can use such as Dropbox, Goodle Drive, Skydrive, Box etc

8 gbs is more than enough so is 16 gb.
Extra slots for memory are nice but hardly ever needed/used imo


Manage your media. If all you do is web based not really storing anything.

If you decide to put media then great all tablets revolve around media consumption. But it's not meant to be a storage place watch a movie 10 time then delete odds are you won't watch it an 11th time.

I'm having the same problem baggio.. Looking to buy a tablet for my sister, but can't decide which to get

iPad 3 is like $500+.. *bleep* that lol

Right now if you want a budget and top quality tablet it's between the new Amazon Fire and Nexus 7

Don't get the new Kindle Fire.
It will be shit like the last one despite being as hyped as the first one.

You are paying 199 (maybe more) for an eReader that was never "cool" enough to be a tablet.

it's a pretty good tablet, and if you have prime you get access to tons of TV 's and Movies for free and all of your collection of ebooks are on it.

It might not have the best of apps but it's getting better

It's not so much the apps
It's the interface it ran some sort of Android but it was there was Amazon plastered over it hence you couldn't get much out of it.


There were issues left and right for the kindle fire, the so called iPad killer.

Those that wanted a cheaper alternative got it. Soon to realize the device had no option to clear history, delete cookies, or clear the cache.


So time came around when those would try to do what a tablet is supposed to do and realized it was garbage.

Security flaws left and right. No option to prompt you for a password on purchases hence if it was stolen, given as a gift, or used by a child they could buy what ever they pleased.


Only reason I say this is because I would sell these things left and right during the holidays

Can you put in a sim card and surf the net using your data? Make a phone call?

not on the Nexus, Fire has one but don't know if it will come to Canada. Nexus might be getting one soon

rogers, bell and telus all have galaxy tablet lte

Yeah I'm looking to buy it straight.. The wifi is $250.. The LTE will probably be at least $100 more

I bought the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7 yesterday, and it's great. IMO it's better to get the GT instead of an iPad when you take performance and price in question.

Don't know how it compares to the Nexus 7 though.
