Ozil on the wings only means that he takes the playmaking from outside in, he doesnt play like a traditional winger, which isnt a problem for him since he used to do that for lunch

ozil is great on the wings.. it isnt as natural for him as in the center though..

butttt if we decide the 4-3-3 works better for us than ozil will be forced to play on the wing.

don't think Özil is suited for a 4-3-3 i would think he was more comfortable in the 4-2-3-1 with less defensive duties.
but we will use both formations a lot and in 4-3-3 i think Özil will be a winger/supersub
and in 4-2-3-1 he will be the AM

Ozil is a modern AM, it's not a problem for him to go wide, it's not his style to just stick to the middle and spread the ball like a classic n10

Özil isint very effecting at wings, hes best @ behind the strikers and he has proven us that many times..Someone mentioned to make him as a sub lol?..

I don't see any reason why Özil couldn't play at wing. It's his original position from Schalke and with us he played there couple times and did quite well. I remember several nice cross from him to front of goal when he played there.

Last thing we should do is put him on the bench, he is too important creative force to not use him constantly.

Ozil was better in the middle because he can drop deeper and act as CM from time to time, it solves our passing problems.If we play with 3 midfielders like in a 4-3-3, you can let Xabi, Sahin and Khedira overtake the passing from deep. It leaves Ozil with final ball job where he really excels. Also, in a 4-3-3 the front three don't stay in their respective wings they'll interchange positions for sure :lol!:

What about Aguero/Di Maria/Benzema ? I think in a 4-3-3 the wing position should be for a goalscorer/pure winger.

Then he has to become a goal scorer+provider. Runs behind the defence and latching on through balls are really important in 4-3-3, he can do both if the service is there. We could also let Sahin get forward and Ozil act deeper or vice versa to confuse opponents. They'd be almost unmarkable . Let the ketchup flow, baby :lol!:

With so many different sources claiming the deal is done and dusted, one can't but believe that Coentrao will be a Real Madrid player sooner rather than later.

I say this is Benfica's last attempt at inviting offers from other clubs, hoping one of them would be more than Real Madrid's offer, so they can milk as much money as possible from us.
