Giaccherini to be in Italy 30?

A call-up to Italy’s Euro 2012 squad would be a dream come true for Juventus revelation Emanuele Giaccherini.

The Gazzetta dello Sport is today suggesting that the uncapped midfielder could be included in Cesare Prandelli’s preliminary 30-man squad on Sunday night.

“We’ll wait for the call-ups with anxiety,” agents Furio Valcareggi and Giulio Marinelli told Tutto Juve on Friday.

“He’s already won the Scudetto this season which was a fantastic achievement, now the national team would be wonderful.

“It would be a dream come true and a reward which the player deserves.”

The versatile 27-year-old joined Juve in the summer in a co-ownership deal from Cesena and he’s had an impressive campaign.

“Who plays well for Juventus like Emanuele can target the national side,” added the representatives. “It’s one thing to do well for Cesena, another for Juventus…

“To feature in 23 games, provide assists and important goals was already a dream for him. The national side would be perfection.”
