25-40 million profit would be nice, but we don't need it at the moment. Ayre's built a foundation up with commercial deals and we're financially stable.

The only reason why I'd want CL right now is to restrict another rival team from getting there. Our players havn't gel'd enough to fight for the CL yet, and I'm not a fan of players only joining a club if a club is in the CL.

RVP won't stay regardless if you get CL. He'll only stay put if Wenger actually delivers players in the transfer window instead of signing people on the last day of the window without medicals.

CL attracts many top players. If inter doesn't qualify, then the likes of their stars will leave. Everyone wants to compete on top level.

And the club rep, money, fame...all based largely on CL

You can still sign players if not in the CL...

Look at Vidal for Juventus, Suarez for LFC. If they believe in the 'project' and the club shows ambition to get there, they'll join.

Regardless, I don't have any respect for players that don't care for the team their playing for and only stay put for CL.
