how can i remove Auto Complete Pro

for those who dont know what it is, its a stupid thing that has a universal auto complete bar for every website you visst, not sure how i got it either and now i cant get rid of it, does anyone know whow to remove it?

Search for it in the 'computer' pop up, see if it's there.

If you have it (I'm assuming you do) control panel > programs > uninstall programs > FIND AND DESTROY Very Happy

Of course what I'm offering is just obvious, basic stuff, but if you haven't done so...do it.

I believe it's adware. Download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and remove it. I don't know too much about removing viruses and the like, but I think, after installing MBAM, you have to boot your computer into safe mode then scan.

Maje 10 is right about this being adware. After a quick google I came to this from an MBAM forum from an MBAM staff member

AutocompletePro is an Adware from Predictad ( http://www.predictad.com/, https://addons.mozil...fox/addon/12568 ).
Predictad makes software to analyze traffic and researches from users.

So it is indeed adware and well...get rid of it

As Maje said, use MBAM.

And for the record (and I'm assuming Maje has this too) I have this program and used it to get rid of some Malware about 2 months ago and it is completely safe and works.

Idk if I have an antivirus program either, I should check...

Btw why don't you have an antivirus program? There's a bunch of good free ones lol it's worth the time to install it. And worth the time to double check and see if you have any which I'll do now! Very Happy

Bleh, I was using ESET and then it started freezing my computer, so I just got rid of it Razz

I'll reinstall it in a few iterations, when they've hopefully fixed it :L.

i was doing that fine for a while
then i got a virus
which whiped my entire computer blank
two days before my english advanced HSC trial
and i had hard copies of nothing

ALWAYS BACK UP YOUR FILES AND YOUR WORK!!!

Getting an external hard drive is extremely worth it.

ive been to your "services" how to remove page and ever so surprisingly when i went to add or remove programs like you told me your malware wasnt there

as for feedback how about you make people aware their downloading your crap rather then sneaking it into an EULA which you know nobody reads

when i went on youtube and clicked on the search bare adn your crap popped up at the bottome left corner it says "more info" or somehting like that and in th box that pops up i clicked "disable this feture" and still it popped up everywhere i went on the net
