Re: How good is Ribery?
Best Winger out there, in terms of defending, attacking, assisting and scoring..

Yeah.....robben is one of those one trick pony guys who do that one trick very well, like bale.Ribery is unpredictable, unbelievably fast, great at dribbling, passing and shooting + he tracks back, there isn't flaws in his game from what ive seen(when hes on form of course).the only negative thing I can think about him is his injuries

Re: How good is Ribery?
Robben might be a one-trick pony but when fit and in form he can be more devastating than Ribery with his one trick as he has shown in the past.
If you're being effective enough against WC opposition being 'complete' means very little.
I personally rate only Robben higher than him but atm Ribery is slightly better than him and has been pretty important to Bayern this season as well.

Ribery was only injured one season and he's put that behind him one of his flaws is that he's sometimes to competitive but then against that's a good thing.
I love Robben and Ribery, similar winger with so many difference.

Re: How good is Ribery?
He has been miles better than Robben since the CL final. He also hasn't been injured for almost 2 seasons, unlike most people think. Was one of the few bright spots of Bayern's horrible last season, and is still maintaining form through this one.St_Nick09_of_Goal wrote:Better than Robben you think?
He might not be the speed demon of before, but he's made it up in other areas such as workrate, smart runs, playmaking a few goals here and there.
World class.

Oh and for the stats wankers:
2010/11 season totals: 36 apps, 11 goals, 15 assists.
2011/12 current season totals: 28 apps, 10 goals, 8 assists.
Beast.

Re: How good is Ribery?
When Ribéry feels appreciated by the coach and has fun on the pitch, he is absolutely fantastic.

Re: How good is Ribery?
World Class when coached properly.
The only sad thing is that he lost a bit of pace after his injury from 2 years back, but TBH he's been pretty good at compensating for his loss of pace with smarter runs and better timed passes.

He doesn’t do stepovers, but when he has to perform, he performs. He does what the game asks him to do.”"
