Our Defence with Cahill

We all wished for a Luiz Terry CB partnership but sadly its just not working out.

With the experience during internationals, though limited, I think AVB would try a Bosingwa Cahill Terry Cole back four.

I'd like to see a Cahill and Luiz partnership but with JT around, it's not possible I guess

Well one positive if I don't jinx it is for the Euros if JT and Gary become partners would be good for England, with any luck all the court cases etc gets dragged out til after the Euros.

I still think Luiz & Terry can come good as long as Bosingwa doesn't play, because him and Luiz on the right side is just :bow:

If the rumored £80,000 p/w is to be true then that is indeed high. However we got him for only £7m and I don't think he'll see out his whole contract.

But to suggest that because he's on high wages he won't be on the bench is ridiculous. Only transfer fees matter in that situation and the fact is that Cahill is not better than Terry or Luiz currently.

IMO, Gary is an Idiot for coming here if he wants to play Euros. He isn't better than DL4 and won't displace him for atleast 1/2 of the remaining season purely because he doesn't know the team.

He will be 3rd choice no doubt and that IMO, could cost him his England spot.

I rate Smalling higher anyway. England should play Johnson - Smalling - Terry - Cole at Euros.
