Definitely. But also not as many things to talk about. We're only linked with 3 players really, and all negotiations are stalled if they're even happening. If at least something were wrong we could try to find solutions

Season is over I guess is the main reason. Its all transfer talk which we have been over time and time again.

Plus as said, we only linked to the same players.

It's definitely because of the off-season. Nothing to worry about

Hopefully the Copa America will revive some interest in these forums.

Well maybe not, but it'll still give us something to talk about, especially if its Argentina related. Not saying we're gonna overload the forum, but its something.

Even Arsenal section is not as it usually is during the season. Transfer threads are the most active ones all accross the forums

there simply isnt much to talk about in pre season.

OK well since this topic is related to the 'General forum' new stuff or whatever, and its the Barca peeps here.

First let me introduce myself, most of you (if not all of you) know me. I am CBarca, I've been here since lithium, and boy do I miss lithium. I'm 15 and live in the US, supported Barca since I was about 7, and I love Barca.

Secondly now...

What the hell happened?

I was really busy with school and now it's over for now (summer yay!). I came back after relaxing for a couple days and get this whole "NEW STUFF TO COME YAY, THIS IS COOL" thing going on.

Then i found here, so i have 2 questions.

1. Is this the new stuff to come or what? Is this just created by former Goal.com members until the new stuff comes? I read the official stuff by Mclewis but it wasn't exactly crystal clear on this.

2. Reason for all of this? Just wondering. I don't really know why they closed the forums so suddenly, they could have at least just locked all of it like with lithium.

3. (and I may edit this one later). Other than the reputation and thanks system, what other perks come with this forum? Can we embed youtube, what about pictures? This one I think I can find out by myself so no need to really address this one unless you want to.

Firstly CB great to have you back.

Now about your questions.

1. For all intents and purposes this is the main forum now. It has indeed been created by some former Goal.com forum members who have done an incredible job.

2. Not very sure why Goal.com closed the forums but the official word is that they want to start something different and spend their money and efforts on that instead. Even if someday they do open a forum I quite like the idea of having our own forum independent of them.

3. It's creditable enough that this forum already has about 90% of what the previous forum had. On top of that it's still evolving and few more features could be introduced in the near future. An example is that I suddenly find ignore lists have begun to work.

4. This is a totally new forum and you have to create a new account.

cat, what you say is true. However I think our conversations will pick up speed as soon as the transfer market heats up which should happen sooner rather than later. Copa America will also generate some interest. Perhaps we can run one sticky thread for all transfers (not just Barcelona stuff) and one sticky thread for the Copa. Then when they are no longer needed we can remove the sticky factor from them.

I think changing old nicknames affected. I dont even know who is this Lionel_Messi always defending Messi
