Polan foreign Prime Minister tells Germany to act

Very interesting read. I find myself nodding often. If the euro-zone fails, Germany definitely has a lot of responsibility (although not as much as the idiotic ECB, of course).

Excellent Speech. Poland is lucky to have such an awesome minister!
I also agree with all of it!

Re: Polan foreign Prime Minister tells Germany to act
Well, Merkel has always been interested in being re-elected, not in actually doing anything with her power.
You can forget about Germany doing anything productive until public opinion points in a direction where it'd be beneficial for the next elections to show solidarity with our neighbours. Sadly, the right-wing tabloids have basically sold the idea that the countries in trouble are responsible for the entire European crisis.
So, yeah, we won't do shit.
Sorry, folks.
Had we still had Schröder and, more importantly, Fischer, we would probably be actually doing something, and making concessions, right now, and they'd get hounded out of office afterward. But with Merkel? She'll never do anything that might cost her a single vote. A reed in the wind, that one. Hate her quite passionately.
