Oh I appreciated the goal. It was just that when I saw that .gif, I noticed for the first time that it looked like Marcelo started running towards the corner instead of closing down Alexis. Such a dumb mistake by, apparently, the "best" leftback in the world..

I actually think that Marcelo, Varane and D.Lopez were at fault in some way. Marcelo for not helping out Varane, Varane for backing up from Alexis and D.Lopez, well it's obvious. But that doesn't change that it was a genius goal from Alexis.

Marcelo had good intentions, he knows Sanchez when he dribbles goes out towards the right and Marcelo thought he was going that direction.
idk what Varane and D.Lopez were doing though.

Michu was one of the EPL best too when he arrived and so was Cazorla and Ozil. The EPL season is not even 1/3 done, lets wait until the end of the season before claiming Sanchez is one of the best in the league.
