for Euro12 isn't it enough to let the hosts skip the qualification stage? Why seed them in pot 1? It defeats the whole purpose of seeding. This seeding system should be fixed.

Don't understand your point in that first sentence.

The smaller teams are there because they deserve to be there. Who knows? Maybe one of them will cause an upset in the knockouts. I make it a habit not to write off their chances. You shouldn't either.

I don't want to have group of death, let small teams play big teams in group stage and see how good they really are, if small team will upset big one then OK, but I won't be happy sitting watching Poland from Pot 1 vs Czech Republic from Top 4 and Spain vs France (1 vs 4 Pot) etc I don't write off smaller teams chances but I don't want to see group of death, give me Spain vs Czech Republic/Ireland and Poland vs France and we can see how good really some teams are.

Hardly, France has been a failure as of late and Portugal aren't that great. It's Germany's group to lose.
