Tymo-Kroos can work as well, Tymo is a defensive beast and could cover what Kroos couldn't - and Kroos is almost as mcuh of a playmaker as Schweinsteiger, even if deployed deep - would need Robben back though.

Napoli is 5th place in Serie A, can't be second best in the world, but they are better than every other club in the Bundesliga except Bayern according to results. Bayern would have no chance against the top Serie A clubs.

What have Milan got to do with this thread? Suspect

This game really showed the importance of Paolo Cannavaro to this Napoli side, the defence missed his aggression and leadership, but Bayern Munich played wonderfully, credit where it is due.

Expected result, they should be very disappointed to have conceded twice from set pieces though, they definitely need to fix that if they're to go all the way in this competition.

With their normal team, with a normal referee, at a neutral ground and with 11 men, Napoli is equal or better than Bayern. In Serie A Bayern would be mid table.

and in realtiy Napoli had NOTHING for bayern the whole game aside from two setpieces. Bayern could've won this 5-0 easily

I've said before that Munich shouldn't be called the second best team in the world, but in the same tier behind Barcelona, equal to Madrid and United, however they're definitely above Napoli.

It doesn't mean however that Napoli were fortunate to get a draw at home, they're quite capable of competing with the best teams to get results, however they're still a developing project who have struggled in big games previous to this year and now need to find consistency when challenged and ways to express themselves when their normal channels are cut out. Napoli's spirit elevates them as a team, however it's not always enough.

The game against City at the San Paolo is a far more important game for Napoli and that's what they need to focus on.
