And if we were to use youtube as a source, Heskey would be the best player to ever play the game.

The way this thread is going is such a fail.

@jibers The reason Scholes has gotten universal praise from everyone is down to a combination of him being a great player, maintaining a fantastic level to the very end and most recently RETIREMENT.Needless to say Gerrard will get similar praise if not more ,when he retires due to the iconic nature of his achievenments.

P.S: Scholes > Gerrard at shooting , Scholes > Gerrard in the final ball

You just said that youtube isn't rellevant source and i agree with that. But if you see 20 Scholes goals from longe range in high profile games it certainly proves a point that he is a fantastic shooter. Does it?

Your argument that you mention was simply agreed upon by me and many others in this form. Also, the argument that Man Utd is already agreed upon as well.

I'm simply pointing out your overhyping of players and many other areas in general when compared to united. Much to much of a macro view without dissecting the finer points and circumstance.

But its understandable as United fans deserve the high they are getting after so much success.

gerrard was an individual player, scholes was xavi and iniesta before xavi and iniesta made any imprint on the game
scholes was a modern day footballer 15 years ago, he didnt need to drag utd through games because, largely due to him, they didnt need to be dragged through games
scholes was for the team, stevie me was hollywood balls and out of position runs
and im a gerrard fan

Yes. He had a fantastic shot on him. That doesn't mean he's the best. Or better than Gerrard because of that. But seeing as you love your youtube videos, go youtube Gerrard.

I am not saying he is the best. I am saying he is slight better then Gerrard for now, but that doesn't take anything from Steve G, he is great player.
