gerrard is/was 5 times the player scholes was at their primes and this comes from somebody who thinks scholes has been one of the 5 best midfielders for the last 15 years!

Scholes has the fact that he played in a CL final recently, while Gerrard couldn't even keep his team in the CL. But Gerrard is a beast. Such an inspirational player.

WHat is Gerrard better at, passing, no, long range passing no, shooting, no, controlling the tempo, no inspiration, yes, football intelligence, no. tackling yes. although on their carear as a whole id take scholes, hes much less injury prone and has much greater longetivity

No one asked u to educate others.Go see videos of how he tackled throughout his career or how he repeatedly targeting Alonso's ankle whenever we played them with pathetic tackles and even breaking it once.

Scholes was a bad tackler. You can't deny that. Even the Mancs agree with that. That doesn't mean he's a bad footballer though. He was good. But people on here treat him as if he's some sort of footballing God.

Both are the players that are well above English standards.

As for passing, no one but Xavi and Pirlo can compare with Scholes, so he is really better then Gerrard in that department.

Gerrad is great shooter of the ball, but then again Scholes had a best half-voley shoot in the world.

In Gerrard's favour he is more vocal on the pitch, and is a true leader. He drag often average Liverpool side on his own, while Scholes was surround with better players.

Both are game changers, and both are great players. For now Scholes is a ahead of him, but if Gerrard can avoid injuries and play 2-3 more seasons on high level, he could be there.

Gerrard's not vocal... And honestly did Scholes have the best half-volley shots in the world? Youtube?
