Currently they are without a doubt the two best teams in Europe.

Germany and Spain's styles vary drastically.

Germany plays a fast tempo and very direct counter attack while Spain relies on heavy pressing and possession.

Well you certainly have brought another dimension to this thread with your mention of playing styles.

You can make a lineup pertaining to your preference. Very Happy

Schweinsteiger, Fabregas, Silva, Ozil, Alonso, Busquets, Iniesta, Gotze ,Xavi ?...

There are too many options in midfield..

Villa.. Gomez, Torres, Muller, Pedro, Mata as well as Silva and Iniesta who both could play as forwards if needed...

The only German player who I think would walk into Spain's line-up is Lahm..

I dont watch Gomez enough to know if such a pure poacher can fit into the Spanish style, but I think this will be a very good mix. Some nice football too.

-----------Casillas
-Ramos-Pique-Puyol-Lahm
---------Piggy-Xavi
-------Silva-Ozil-Villa
-----------Gomez

Not sure if that will gel properly though. Puyol is a write off as for international career really, but maybe Xavi will actually work in that team.

I would never omit Thomas Müller. He is much to intelligent in his movement and creating space+chances. But frankly, I'm glad we have two teams there with Spain and Germany. In a combined team we'd have to bench far too many great players.
