Socrates
Brazilian legend Socrates says that he wants to see either Pep Guardiola or Johan Cruyff in charge of the national team as it has ''given up on its culture'' of attacking football.
Socrates, who played for the Brazil national team between 1979 and 1986, wants to see a return to the days of their traditional attack-minded, flamboyant playing style which has been sorely absent under recent coaches.
Current boss Mano Menezes has come under fire since his side crashed out of the Copa America in the quarter-finals following a defeat to Paraguay and Socrates has two men in mind to revive the five-time World Cup winners.
"It could be Pep Guardiola or Johan Cruyff [to guide Brazil]," he told Lancenet. "Guardiola has courage. Who plays in Barcelona's defence?"
"They do not need defenders, they need courage. Brazil have given up on its culture and that is a silly thing to do. It would destroy us if players like Neymar did not appear."
Socrates added that Brazilian FA chief Ricardo Teixeira should face a vote for his job in the wake of a corruption scandal surrounding him and backed former team-mate Zico for the position.
"I think everyone should be able to vote for the next president of the federation," the 57-year-old added. "In that case, everyone involved in football would get to vote. Players, clubs and fans. I would vote for Zico."

Re: Socrates
Whens the last time attacking football won Brazil a World Cup?
Anyone? Anyone? What is it 5 decades now?
Brazil win when they are organized...'82 lost
If Socrates is willing to accept losing as a sacrifice for playing attacking football than more power to him....but he should understand that playing that style means Brazil isn't likely to win

Re: Socrates
Brazil 02 was attacking and organized and it's not like if Guardiola and Cryuff aren't organized.
