Newcastle United face competition from Real Madrid for Caen prospect M'Baye Niang.

Real chief Zinedine Zidane has tipped off technical staff about the 16 year-old's talent and the Spanish giants could swoop for the teen in January.

However, sources on Tyneside say Newcastle are also confident of landing Niang, who is understood to favour the Toon over rival English interest from Arsenal and Liverpool.

Niang is regarded as the best young striker in France.

I think your wong in there, you dont get the money its teh owners, and I havent seen them using the money to fund the club or buy players..What happend to Carolls 35m?

While iam pissed about not re-investing a penny of Carroll money the big sales we get the better for the club in the long term......

And Sepi, Enrique was in last year of contract and Carroll had 5 years left...... hardly comparable situations Laughing

Lacazette is the best young striker prospect in France followed by Riviere right now... You also have Monrose and Sunu. Benzia needs to make his way up through the Lyon ranks and he will get consideration if he gets there.

Niang is the best of the u-18 group.
