Could really use his midfield presence, too.

Re: Sir Frank Lampard
Super Frank – our greatest ever player – has announced his retirement from playing today. What a career he's had! Immortal at Chelsea Football Club. Best of luck to him in the next stage of his life. Sure we'll be seeing him around the club again in the future, be it sooner or later.

Re: Sir Frank Lampard
My hero.
My all time favourite player, I think the timing is right for him to leave the game.
I hope Chelsea give him a coaching job ASAP like Liverpool did the Gerrard.
Hell, I hope he takes Holland's place at seasons end.

Re: Sir Frank Lampard
My favourite player ever
The most consistent and reliable player I've seen
The only player to be a club's top scorer as a midfielder Truly one of a kind
The most complete midfielder I've seen 2nd most assists in the PL behind Giggs for someone whose only offensive contributions are "just scoring"
His celebration after the penalty he scored the day after his mother died was one of the most touching moments I've ever seen not only in football but in life in general
Best of luck in whatever he chooses to pursuit now
Our best player ever though? Can we really displace JT like that? I guess that's a matter for discussion that we should postpone to this summer when JT will most likely retire as well.

How good would prime Lampard be next to Kante in this system?

After seeing Fabregod channel him yesterday, it'd be quite a sight to see on a weekly basis indeed.

Cesc did really channel his inner Lampard yesterday
I wonder if Lamps had some words with him before the game?

Re: Sir Frank Lampard
He certainly deserves credit for his performances this season. Having been shunned from the starting XI would cause most players of his caliber to down tools and throw the towel in (not to mention seek an easy move away in January, which according to reports was very attainable for him if he wanted it). But he's really used it as motivation to put his head down and work twice as hard, and as result is increasingly forcing his way into the lineup. There's really no reason he oughtn't to be starting in games like that consistently.

Re: Sir Frank Lampard
He's also said that he is 100% staying with us next season
He's been a game changer for us, and despite not starting all the time, is a huge part of this team.
