Kobe Bryant won’t betray Milan
KOBE BRYANT says he will not betray the Rossoneri colors after Materazzi gave him an Inter shirt.
Milan have many celebrity fans: Novak Djokovic, the No. 1 Tennis player in the World at the moment, has never made it a secret that he’s a big fan of Milan and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and he met them a few times.
People may have not known however that along with the likes of Djokovic and Formula 1 driver Felipe Massa on the list of famous people that support Milan, there is also NBA superstar Kobe Bryant.
“As a child, when my father played in Italy, I was an AC Milan fan. I do not want to change teams even though [Marco] Materazzi gave me an Inter shirt and tried to get me into betraying the Rossoneri colors,” Kobe said. The Los Angeles Lakers shooting guard could return to Italy, as Bologna are interested in him.
With the NBA still striking, the 33-year-old Basketball player admitted he’d be considering a move to Virtus Bologna, that have reportedly offered him a contract worth $2.5 million a month – $15mil a season.
Side note: Kobe grew up a Milan fan and was lucky enough to watch Sacchi's godly side and frequently states his admiration for MVB and Rjjikard and followed the latter at his Barca managing days.
Bologna is one of the best european basketball teams along with Italia being the most successful among clubs in europe.

Basketball is the 2nd most popular sport in Italia.
Although it pales in comparison to USA but Italians are the most successful in Europe when it comes to Basketball.

Turkey? Isreal? Spain? Russia? Italy only has one good club.
As far as NT goes, last championship they couldnt even et out of the groups, lo stile italy at WC 2010.
Spain, Serbia, Lithuania, Ex-Yu, Ex-Soviet/Russia are all more successful in NT.

Wrong.
Italians clubs have 13 Euroleague cups which is the highest ever while Espana has 11.
1 good club? I guess you haven't heard of Pallacanestro Varese and Cantu and Roma, who have 8 euroleagues between them. Olimpia Milano with 3, fortitudo and Treviso reaching 3 finals between them.
The most successful among clubs historically bar none.
Nationals? I guess you never heard of how many times Italia's top stars reject call-ups and have a sub par team compared to what they can have.
And to whoever brought the Kobe for barca jersey, he followed barca because of Ronaldinho and his childhood hero, Rjjikard. He even posed with a galatasaray jersey but that doens't mean anything

Spain dominates now both footy and bball, they have start+bench NBA. Nowitzki is still best European player ever, and being not Spanish

Lol, true story, before Shaq was shipped out of town, Kobe was flirting with the idea of joining the Clippers on a long-term deal.
Almost the same situation, same result.

When i was talking about clubs i meant right now and right now they have 1 good club, Italian club has not won Euroleague for more then 10 years, most of those clubs u mention have not won it for 30-40 years.
Nottingham Forest has 2 Cl, does that make them "good club" atm...
"The most successful among clubs historically bar none." you make it sound like they have 5-10 more then anyone... i mean Croatian clubs have 5 titles there

Well I did mean historically, but I see your point, although at least 2 italian clubs are doing well and most Italian clubs produce among the best players in Europe.
And I meant bar none simply because Italian clubs have had their success spread through many clubs while the spanish and greek who are 2nd and 3rd ( i think) have them mostly through 1 single club.
But you must admit the Italians are great at Basketball.
Croatia? Quite some good sides as they produce some of the best players yet its a shame most of them choose NBA over home

Well I did mean historically. But I see your point, although 2 italian teams are doing relatively well.
I meant bar none simply because Italian success is spread out through many clubs while the spanish and greek who are 2nd and 3rd (i think) have it pretty much by one club.
But you must applaud Italians at basketball and their players that they produce.
Crotia? they have some great sides and produce superb player. Too bad most of them choose NBA over home though

Pretty obvious you didn't read the article above nor do you know about Kobe's constant mention of Milan.
