Re: Tom Cleverley
Hilarious, but at the same time makes me realize the extent of Keane's lunacy. The guy is legit nuts.

If Cleverley is leaking stuff to the press then he's a little shit too

Re: Tom Cleverley
With my detective hat on, kinda shapes up on who the culprits behind the leaking of our in house problems were last season.
Clev, Rio and maybe Welbeck?

Re: Tom Cleverley
Line-ups still get leaked though, in all honesty it's probably not a player. There's not a lot to gain from leaking the line-up in fact it's stupid, do they want to hinder their chances of winning matches? Probably some other staff member

Re: Tom Cleverley
Good point, there may be nothing to gain other than pure pettyness, I guess. But some footballers are scumbags tbh and hide behind a facade. Last season was just a clusterf*ck and I wouldn't be surprised if it brought out the worst in some of the players and staff, such was the low morale surrounding the place.

You have to take into account the possibility though that the Sun is making up/exaggerating stuff

Re: Tom Cleverley
true.
Fwiw I read parts of Fergie's book and then of Keane's book (yes I've got time to waste), and I thought while clearly Keane has emotional and anger management issues, his account of how he had to leave Utd was interesting, personal and touching, with a real sadness and a sense of bewilderment and regret about wtf did happen there.
Fergie's book on the contrary is cold as ice, which reminds me of what Keane said about Fergie, that he's become cold and businesslike at heart.

Re: Tom Cleverley
I haven't read Keane's book (yet), I've read Fergie's, but I've seen what you've said going round the internet.

That quote is post-Fergie retirement. I know it's something small, but it obviously wasn't with Fergie's self-interest in mind, or business like. It probably meant the world to Macheda too.
“Sir Alex was amazing for me, he believed in me so much. After I scored two goals against Charlton last month he sent me a text message straight after the game. That was incredible because I hadn’t spoken to him for a long time so to get that text was a relief. He said, ’Well done and keep going’.”

Re: Tom Cleverley
tbh, as much as I admire SAF and his genius, from many accounts I've read, he was a tough person to get along with, if you got on the wrong side of him. Don't get me wrong, he had his qualities too, his charitable work, his time for everyone involved at the club or out of it, his loyalty was unwavering. But lets be honest, if you held as much power and influence as he did, you had to be a prick and have a dark side.
Keane was also a leader, so it was inevitable that these 2 alphas were going to clash, and since both have too much pride to apologize first to one another, their relationship seems irrepairable.
And I only half believe this story because doing something like this is not out of character from Keane. Guy has anger issues.
