You must have serious problems then if you take a look at our midfield it is clear that he could be nowhere in the first XI. If he signs for us then he will be happy if he gets a chance in the team, thats for sure. He is close to 37 now and he is intelligent enough to see his career is well beyond his peak.Arquitecto wrote:Luca wrote:baresi wrote:That exactly shows Juves' ambition, a 36 Yrs old Seedorf. I like Seedorf but if we had any other option he wont make it to Milans starting lineup.
Irony (Legrottaglie rofl)
Actually this just shows the logic in some posters here, easily swayed by paper talk.
Difference is if you buy Seedorf, he will be one of your main midfielders and obviously won't be a back-up due to his current demands and role in Milan.
Legro? He was used as a last ditch back-up and only played one game off an injured player from the bench.
Big difference.
Anyways, I call bullsh*t in this news, he really isnt needed at Juve even if it is a free transfer.
Midfield? So your telling me Claudio Marchisio (your starter) is currently better the Seedorf?
Son, Seedorf at his age is far better then Marchisio ever has been as its quite laughable your saying he would be nowhere near that midfield considering he is better then half you midfield in which you describe as if its Barca.
Seedorf is a football legend::: no one can deny that
but his time is over; no one can deny that too:::
His superb performances for us last year and of course all of this season say hi.
Somebody hasn't been keeping up with whats going.

Re: Juventus wants Ac Milan maestro Seedorf
Your argument is irrelevant man, when we are talking about midfield you only think about Marchisio, so you think we play with 1 midfielder or what? Yes he is starter at the moment because Vidal needs time to adapt, and anyways, Vidal and Pirlo are better than Seedorf currently, whereas Marchisio is almost at the same level NOW. I've never questioned Seedorf abilities or anything, I've always liked him but his time is pretty much over. Also, please tell me where I described our midfield as if it was Barca.. Just because I said our current midfield quality is higher than Seedorf? Thats some kind of a flawed logic there.Arquitecto wrote:

No, I spoke about how you made it seem how the Juve midfield is at such a standard where Seedorf cannot reach while at his current form, he would be right spot in the middle of it.
His time has been over for years yet he still continues to amaze us all. Having Seedorf would be a gift to Juve despite his age as the class he adds to our team is near indispensable. I have never seen someone take on the Barca midfield with such composure and confidence.
I don't see how the current mid quality is higher considering his current play atm is among the best in the serie a.
Point is, I only hope he can continue this form as when he is played to much, his quality goes down the drain due to his age.
In the end, he won't be going to Juve.
What would you rate as your best line-up btw. Juve seems to have a lot of depth yet I don't understand some of the selection among the fans.

Fat chance of this happening if not any.
I guess u said the same about Pirlo before he left...
U have to understand...if a club doesn't give a play the respect he deserves then he will leave..& that's what happened to Pirlo because of one injury...
let's just see how this plays out & don't hold your breath on it
Wrong.
Pirlo always was a vital player for us but never a supreme leader and influential man in our locker room as his introspective and introverted manner is in sheer contrast to Seedorf's outspoken and leaderlike qualities.
Respect? Funny how the Juve board makes assumptions similar to their transfers. Pirlo for all his magic moments last year proved to be a liability in defense for us due to his lack of pace and mobility along with his poor defensive skill, Allegri's system never required a DLP anyway. Plus, he was demanding more then what he deserved.
And if you haven't noticed, Seedorf has played in all of our matches this season.
There is a bigger chance of Messi coming to Juve then Seedorf going there.
right there...how can you say he demands more than he deserves?
the man has been with Milan so long & is a clear icon in the team...the man asked for more than a 1 year contract & u gonna say that's more than he deserves?
I know if Pato or Zlatan wanted that deal..Milan would have signed it no questions asked...
u guys lost respect for him..that's the truth, the fans & the board
Pirlo for years on end was being paid 6 Million Euros which is an amount a superstar is paid for clubs. Pirlo was a vital cog in our system, but he was simply not worth paying that sum of amount as near the end of the year Galliani made a goal to cut down salaries and overview the economical situation of Milan along with the cutting down on age, as Pirlo was was 4 million at best for us yet he did not accept that.
As mentioned, his role was simply not a part of Allegri's plans as he prefers a TQ and not a DLP. Milan are not a charity club as the compromise to extend his stay at the club was based on the gratitude towards him as the salary cut was supposed to be done at least 3 years ago.
Pato is our future and we have to hold on to him as a salary increase for him is an intelligent way to give him incentive for staying in Milan. Plus, his performances for us have merited that.
Zlatan is simply worth his salary as he is the best player in the Serie A and our world class difference maker. He has merited that as well.
Nobody has lost respect for him, another assumption made without any base as this claim is purely fallacious.
Pirlo is on a 3 mill contract with Juve for three years, the salary was not an issue with Milan. He asked for a longer contract and more playing time since he has eyes for the 2014 WC. Milan did not see Pirlo in Allegri's plans, and hence no contract was made. This was not an issue of salary, but rather being part of the plan which decided it for Pirlo. He wouldn't have accepted 6 mill a year if we did not include him in the team plans.
Also, Pirlo despite looking as a shy introverted person was always a leader in the locker room. Fact is the Italy 2006 WC stars all declared that the person they respected most as a leader after Cannavaro is Pirlo. Gattuso said that when Pirlo speaks, they listen for he rarely speaks, and hence every word has its weight.
Also, Pirlo is not only a DLP, as he plays as TQ when he needs to. Allegri simply requires more energetic team members. Even though, I remember the best performances from Milan was with Pirlo on the pitch, and it was his and Inzaghi's injury that cost us the match against Spurs.
I support Milan and Allegri's choice, even if I think we lost irreplaceable quality with Pirlo's departure. Pirlo was always one of the most important team members in Milan for the last 10 years ans Carlo's master stroke in playing him as a DLP insured Milan was dangerous as both a direct attacking team, and a possession based system. It is no coincidence that Milan played one of the best football I ever watched 2003-2007 and that whenever Pirlo was injured or out of form we simply did not play as good. It sucks that Pirlo was injured just as he was hitting top form and that Allegri did not have the chance to experiment with him.
As for lack of respect. The old guard is always slammed in the Milan section regardless of who they are (except Pippo, everyone loves the guy). Fans are fickle, which is a fact. The more level headed fans of course have not lost respect for him, and he still remains a legend for us.
Good luck for him in Juve and the national team. Grazia Pirlo.

Re: Juventus wants Ac Milan maestro Seedorf
ill keep it simple.
Seedorf is not coming.
Transfer rumours at this time is ALWAYS A LIE!.
and in the hypothetical case that Seedorf came, he would be bench player.
And no, i dont want Seedorf.

Best line up for me:
4-3-3
Vucinic-Quagliarella-Krasic
Marchisio-Pirlo-Vidal
PDC-Chiellini-Barzagli-Lichtsteiner
Buffon
Marchisio-Pirlo-Vidal
PDC-Chiellini-Barzagli-Lichtsteiner
Buffon
I know what you mean with the selection from people here but that is based on a couple things:
Quagliarella has not started yet
Marchisio-Pirlo are a good combo in the middle, considering Conte prefers to at least start a 2 man midfield, regardless of Vidal's quality.
