If... ?
If Bayern played in the EPL, would they be #1?
By the masterclass they gave the EPL team with the most amount of points today and their incredible form, I'm inclined to say yes.

LOL, they would be fighting Arsenal for 4th cuz every decent player is made of that type of glass that just breaks too easily.

Re: If Bayern played in the EPL, would they be #1?
This is definitely something to consider, but I think they can make up for this with the amount of class they have in their squad and the decline in relative power of EPL teams. It simply looked too easy for them, and City are one of the two teams with the most amount of points. You simply have to wonder.ragbirjosh wrote:LOL, they would be fighting Arsenal for 4th cuz every decent player is made of that type of glass that just breaks too easily.

United are masters of winning the league under Ferguson.Dont confuse league with CL really.
Bayern will have a good chance but United will easily be favourites.

Using that logic even Basel would also have a shout at the PL title.

Except that Bayern have an actual shot at lifting the CL whereas Basel had a one-off lucky game they're not likely to repeat?

No.
They haven't been tested vs Stoke yet.
Only Sunderland can claim such thing

I've actually thought about it. I'd say we'd be very real title challengers. We'd need more depth though. Lahm is superman, but I doubt he can pull off 50 games. Same with Schweini.
On paper we'd have a squad rivaling United's.

Re: If Bayern played in the EPL, would they be #1?
Bayern would probably lose out to United because they tend to get too full of themselves when they're on a winning streak.
FC Hollywood etc.
Though maybe in the EPL, with more really tough opposition, they'd stay focused over an entire season, so who knows. On paper I certainly rate them higher than any PL team currently - but TBH we all know Chelsea, Arsenal and Utd are gonna buy some more talent in winter, and next season, while Bayern probably won't.
BTW Piggy and Lahm totally could pull off 50 games.
Robben and Ribéry would just die in the EPL, though. But Buyten would be great at defending against those long balls *troll*

Premfaces overrate EPL. It's maybe more competive than La Liga but EPL teams are declining, Bundesliga >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> EPL

Just look how pathetic premfaces look now. They think they ll walk any league, but when someone declasses them excuses are made. No difference between anglosaxon media arq rant yesterday about and this.

Re: If Bayern played in the EPL, would they be #1?
I think they'd finish second to United with Chelsea coming a close third..
Chelsea are really an unknown quantity for me this season..If Torres regains his touch,i think they can be a devastating team..But at this current juncture going by the current scenario Bayern just edge Chelsea..
Still think Chelsea will finish higher than City this season..

Re: If Bayern played in the EPL, would they be #1?
I'm with Surag.Blueguy on this. ManU just seems more cold-blooded than Bayern. (Bayern would still f*ck them over in a knockout tie, like the UCL or the FA cup, though, but ManU would drop less points against minnows, which is why Bayern wouldn't win in La Liga either.)

If its about first XI agree they probably are better than United but United have much better squad depth than Bayern currently imo.Squad strength are more important than first XI when it comes to winning league.

After one game against a team that hasn't played in Europe for God knows who long? Are you serious?

This would've been a valid discussion even before the City match.
