FYP. Angel has a bad game tonight. He was beaten numerous times in the second half down his side. I didn't think Heinze was very good either.

Hopefully Totti recovers from his knock...

I didn't like the Bojan substitution...thought he was our best player.

I think Borriello needs more time on the pitch, at the expense of who, I'm not sure.

abate is terrible. i would never compare rosi to him

angel wasn't bad. schelotto is just that good. he's future azzurri for sure

Awesome result for us, we played very well. This time around we didnt have all the possession but we scored the goals why? We were taking the right runs into the box, Bojan-Simplicio picture perfect runs. And thats what has been the problem the past games.

I realy hope that we keep improving.

Anyways from the match itself very good performance, much more penetration like i've being banging on about for the past few weeks none of all that passing back like Schnix said..DDR was excellent what a ball to Bojan happy that he got his first goal in Serie A,can't understand why he was subbed though scratch...

Osvaldo yes i have being critical of him the past few games, but he's proving himself and I hope he continues to prove me wrong...

Simplicio my man, thats why I want us to keep him does his job very well never complains and can fill in for Perrotta and rightly got his reward with a well taken goal today...Grazie Fab

Next up the derby, shame we have to wait 2 *bleep* weeks for it though Mad Mad Mad

Yea I noticed the Osvaldo avatar, good call lol.

Anyways, a nice win for us today against a team that was playing well until now. We nullified their midfield and covered well to avoid any dangerous counter attacks. Angel had a quiet game, but not a bad one. He basically tried canceling out Schelotto the whole match. He got through a few times, but was kept relatively tamed. Rosi, on the other hand, went forward on a number of occasions. His only problem was his first touch and accuracy; his pace and energy though were top notch.

De Rossi was a beast once again. He's quickly getting back to his best and it's great to see. A fundamental part of our team. Pjanic had a little trouble settling in, but put in a great assist once being switched to trequartista. And Simplicio played a great game in my opinion. He seemed really comfortable in his position and definitely fits in better in a 3 man midfield than in our old 4-2-3-1. He has a lot of energy and is permitted to go forward as he wishes in the role he covered today and is better on the ball than Perrotta. For some reason, about 15-20 minutes before he scored, I had a strange little feeling and pictured him scoring a goal (I'm not bullshitting in all honesty), so I'm very glad that he took advantage of that scoring chance on a great one two.

Totti, well, we obviously all hope that he could make it back in time for the derby. He said he's fine, but it will take 2 days to determine the extent of his injury, so fingers crossed until then. Bojan, did well to get on the other end of an inch perfect assist by De Rossi. He showed that killer instinct, something Osvaldo lacked a bit. Yet, Osvaldo still managed to grab a goal. I think he's going to be another Vucinic-like player; frustrating as hell to watch but manages to score.

Enrique: 'This is what I wanted'

Luis Enrique finally got to see his Roma in the victory over Atalanta. “This is the kind of football I wanted.”
Bojan Krkic, Pablo Daniel Osvaldo and Fabio Simplicio secured the 3-1 win that was played at a faster tempo, although with less possession than in other games this season.

“When we want to reach the goal with possession, it’s better, but possession can mean vertical moves as well as horizontal,” said the Coach.

“At the start we struggled, as Atalanta are the form team at the moment, but our tempo was better. I still thought we were too stretched out, though.

“We needed our first home win to create more unity between the fans and the team. It’s very important when you feel the faith of the supporters and when Atalanta scored, they helped us through it.

“I wanted the stadium to enjoy our football and our hunger to go for goal. I am happy with this performance and we are on the right track, but to do that need all the players, not just 11. Just look at the contribution Fabio Simplicio gave today and how hard he has worked in training.

“This is the kind of football I wanted. We have won two now, but there is a long way to go. I am happy to have many options, as there are no automatic first picks for me.”

Bojan Krkic had not played for three games before he was thrown in from the start today and scored his first goal in a Roma jersey.

“I am happy for Bojan. I hope all my strikers score many goals, as I need all of them. I need competition, as that will make us all better.”

What a game this was...great stuff from our forwards....I knew the patience would pay off and against an unbeaten side no less. Great result for us.
