Can anyone other than Quaresma do this?
Imagine if he did that in a CL final and it led to a goal. best freakin assist EVA.
I think he deserved a better career. Could have been the Ronaldinho of these days if Fergie had taken him too...

What exactly was great about that? An ordinary cross done in a fancy way.

I really hope this is trolling. How would Fergie make him the Ronaldinho of these days ?

Whose ticket did he steal and how long did he evade security for Quaresma to get on a CL Final pitch? The BoyWonder wrote:Imagine if he did that in a CL final and it led to a goal. best freakin assist EVA

Cristiano always tried those sort of useless tricks in his younger days.
It's better to train your left leg to cross

Frankly, it doesn't matter if it was an inch or a mile off the mark. The fact is that he could likely have gotten more accuracy on the cross had he done it normally rather than in the showboating way that he chose. Too much flash, too little product. Story of his career, in a way.

Re: Can anyone other than Quaresma do this?
There is no real guarantee it would have found it's mark had he took it normally either though.
A rabona can be useful if you want to cross the ball quickly without having to adjust yourself.
Obviously some use it to show off but it is a move with substance as well as flash.

true mate , but I think that the rabona in this situation was more effective then if he had crossed

Re: Can anyone other than Quaresma do this?
But there's certainly a higher chance that such would be the case had he crossed it normally. In the video it was an unnecessary piece of skill that failed to produce the necessary end product... it came close, of course, but close only counts with horse-shoes and hand grenades.Zealous wrote:There is no real guarantee it would have found it's mark had he took it normally either though.

Crossing it with your left leg would have been just as quick, and without the risk of injuring yourself from that awful posture.

Re: Can anyone other than Quaresma do this?
The position Quaresma did it in was just useless, but some times when your near the corner flag and 1 on 1 with a defender and the ball is on your right foot when your left footed the Rabona is actually useful and quick since you don't need to switch the ball on your left foot.

Re: Can anyone other than Quaresma do this?
Doing it then is all well and good, and I have no problem with such instances... my point in this thread is that he did the move when it was completely unnecessary and, in the process, hurt his own odds of getting the cross right.EarlyPrototype wrote:The position Quaresma did it in was just useless, but some times when your near the corner flag and 1 on 1 with a defender and the ball is on your right foot when your left footed the Rabona is actually useful and quick since you don't need to switch the ball on your left foot.

I agree with you on that I also said it was useless for Quaresma to do that.

Have people seen Quaresma cross with his left foot there isn't not much difference tbh.

A rabona that led to absolutely nothing? Shocking stuff and of course, it's Quarsema doing the stuff which makes sense really.
