So is Bundesliga really THAT competitive?
I think statistisc suggest a one-horse-league....
JUST look at the stats of the last decade from 2000-2011:
99-00: Bayern
00-01: Bayern
01-02: Dortmund
02-03: Bayern
03-04: Bremen
04-05: Bayern
05-06: Bayern
06-07: Stuttgart
07-08: Bayern
08-09: Wolfburg
09-10: Bayern
10-11: Dortmund
11-12: Bayern (most likely)
So basically Bayern all the time sandwiching _insert-random-midtable-team_...
not taking a dig at Bundesliga, but the nonsense ''Bundesliga most competitive league in europe'' bullcrap needs to be stopped....
even La Liga is more competitive than this :coffeeguy:

According to your theory, the Premiere League is the least competitive league, followed by Primera Division. Bundesliga and SerieA are the most competitive.

Re: So is Bundesliga really THAT competitive?
It is the most competitive league because u dont need millions of money to win the league.Borussa are a perfect example of that.
Do u think it is possible in any of the other leagues? Not in a million years.Thats why it is most most competitive league. Not just because they have 5 different champions.
Just see how much the likesof Madrid and City have invested to win the league.Or Liverpool or Juventus to just get a CL spot.U need financial might to win the league in PL or La liga or Seria A.But not in Bundensliga.

Re: So is Bundesliga really THAT competitive?
What BeautifulGame says is true. Bundesliga is considered the most competitive because only one team is throwing about it's financial muscle while the rest are pretty much on equal footing. So if that one team, which is Munich, has a bad season then it's fair game between quite a few clubs whereas in other leagues, it's usally one team or another.

Yawn. Troll elsewhere, Uli Hoeness already said that BL is only shortly behind La Liga and better than both EPL and Serie Aenglish_jewel wrote:Bundesliga is the fourth best league in the world, after PL, La Liga and SERIA A.

The topic is competiveness, not quality. Clearly Bundesliga is just catching up to other leagues, and not in money but talent.Eivindo wrote:Ofc Bundesliga is the best league in the world.. look at how they are dominating the CL the past 10 years, clearly the best teams in the world

You are absolutely Right....
Re: So is Bundesliga really THAT competitive?
Seriously, some people need to take a look that the up-to-date UEFA coefficient standings.
Currently a 12 point gap from the Bundesliga down to Serie A, for comparisons sake, there's a 4 point gap from La Liga above the Bundesliga and 3.5 point gap between Serie A and Ligue 1.
Ze Germans are performing in Europe. It's undeniable.

Its the only league in the world, where a newly promoted club wins the title!
Borussia Mönchengladbach of this season, are the best example of the competitiveness in the league.

Re: So is Bundesliga really THAT competitive?
Ain't there teams from Serie A in Europa league, this just justify the balance in bundesliga.
No mega strong teams like Bayern, Milan, Inter, Madrid, Barcelona, United, Chelsea.
But Most teams in Bundesliga have reasonable balance between them, that is why they say the league is very competative and as they keep growing the entire league teams will gradually evolve from 2nd class team to 1st class teams together.
It will be unimaginable insane, Imagine having 15 1st class team in one league.

Re: So is Bundesliga really THAT competitive?
Shouldn't the Italians be happy that EL points might give them back the CL spot (if they manage to win EL matches, that is)? If Italian teams don't take the EL serious while they know that EL points count towards the 5 year ranking, it is solely their own fault. The UEFA rules have been known for a while now.
