Improving our defense

Obviously guys you ve pinpointed the wrong problem, sure our midfield can be improved but our defense is the main problem.

Problem starts with iker, anyways who do you think we should sign to improve our defense?

Ramos and Marcelo were getting owned far too many times. Also Casillas needs to concentrate.

TBF, if there's one thing Valdes is better than Casillas at, it's concentration. Valdes hardly sees the ball, but when he does, he's usually always ready and rarely screws up massively.

At least Casillas only loses concentration in low-profile games and not big games where the scores are tight. Apart from the 5-0 debacle, he has performed exceptionally well in all big games.

In terms of defence, Varane needs to play as much as he can. I don't care if we lose games from his mistakes (which won't happen), because this guy will be our most important defender from next season onwards. The more we prepare for Carvalho's retirement/ benching/ exit, the better condition we will be in when he eventually retires/ is benched/ exits.

Varane is one youth we cannot f*ck up. We aren't exactly loaded with 10000 promising young defenders.

That goal we conceded this game? It wasnt Lassana's fault. It was Iker's and the defense.

I saw the goal. You just proved my point buddy. Two Rayo players trolled our entire defense line made of 4 players, and one of the two rayo players took a long range shot but iker was being himself.

Sure Lass lost the ball, almost every goal comes from a turnover one way or the other but if we want to pinpoint the problem (to learn from our mistakes in the future) it was not lassan's fault, it was Iker and the defense.

The mini-crisis is not over yet. It's just postponed until next week. I will wait and see.

So giving away possession that cheaply isn't his fault? If he didn't give away that risky pass (and not a forward risky-esq pass) they wouldn't even have that goal scoring chance.

With this kind of defending and goalkeeping, we will struggle to win any trophies.

Dude, when he did something that stupid and unnecessary, there is only him to blame. Iker and the defense shouldn't even need to deal with it. They all were caught off guard and Lass is the only one to blame.

But they ended dealing with it and they were not caught off guard. They were well positioned, see the vid again.

Iker was crapping in his pants, and he stuttered like he always does. I ve never liked him because his saves are driven by fear and not motivation and thrust.

It's just my opinion dude. I am not defending Lassana, that was a very bad turn over, but i wouldnt want to blame it all on him because that goal was a defensive and iker blunder.

Lass was the reason the two rayo players even attacked, it wasn't even a proper turnover but a pass directly to them

Let me put it this way, if lass didn't pass to the rayo players they wouldn't have attacked, iker wouldn't have spilled the ball, NO GOAL

Again no lass stupid pass, no attack, no goal

Another thing, what crisis, you mean lass staying in the midfield?! That's a crisis for sure! You see each time lass starts, misplaces a pass, go into stupid tackles or gains a yellow card a kitten dies. The world will soon end out of kitten, we cannot have that, it'll be a HUGE crisis

Our defense and Captain should know better and be prepared for these kinds of scenarios dont you think?

We have 4 defenders in place and a captain and they were taken by two Rayo players. How do you want me to trust our defense and captain again especially if it's against elite strikers and players in general?

Maybe i worry too much, but the way i see it, this goal was not Lass's fault. It was purely a defensive mistake.
