Doubt his career will be as good as Bent's in the end but I'd love to be proven wrong. He's a joy watch when he's dominating. Like a poor man's Drogba.

Why did West Ham pay 15 million for him? You'd think with it being so obvious that Liverpool wanted no part of him, they would have been able to talk the price down a bit more.

And is he really the solution for them? How did he play there on loan? Is more years of what they just got worth breaking their transfer record?

Whilst that is true, 19.5m is a massive amount to get for him. Especially considering he was on hefty wages here. Carroll being sold is basically funding the move Mkhitaryan so it's worked out okay for us, even if it did take 2 summers to get rid of him.

People are being too harsh on him. Steven Fletcher went for £12m and Carroll is miles better.

He was by a country mile the pikeys best player last season and most of them couldn't wait to have him back so I don't see why they would be disappointed.

As much as people like to pretend Carroll is Heskey quality there's not much of a difference between him and the likes of Giroud and Damiao in my opinion.

Carroll works harder for the team and has more potential as well.
