Benzema is good at finding passes from tight situations but suarez can pick players with ease even from long range passing.Suarez is easily better than Benzema at passing with vision.

Also dont think Suarez is that quick but he has excellent acceleration with which he beats defenders more than speed imo.

Agree with finishing Benzema is more clinical than suarez(atleast at Liverpool).

If u are looking fora no.9 benzema is better but as a false no.9 or as no.10 Suarez is better.

You could establish several partnerships in the centre and I believe they'd all do well. I simply wouldn't pair Pique and Nesta together or Puyol and Thiago Silva, though the latter could still function more effectively in a high line than the previous partnership. No reason to fix what isn't broken however. Nesta's age effects his ability to play a high line permanently, however I still believe his positional sense would see him fare well generally, though I'm not suggesting at all that he'd be better fit. We'd dominate the bench though Our players in quite a few places suit our style better than Barcelona's, however in a game based on chemistry and possession you can't simply drop players into the XI. Dependent on form Pato could potentially displace Pedro, however as it is I've left the squad alone.

To avoid this becoming too long, I'm going to take liberties with team chemistry and formation. These aren't meant to necessarily work. I rate De Gea very highly and wish we had him in Milan, however I'm simply going for maturity at the moment, so all I can say is this: inb4cleverley.

Nesta being good in a park the bus in no Credit deserving thing.The last end to end game he played he got burnt alive.

i would take nesta in madrid's backline.. we play a very high line and he would get caught..carvalho hasnt been his best but pepe and ramos do save his ass because of their pace.. pepe and thiago silva would be killer combo..

Nesta was great last season, however apparently one single game in Serie A when our team isn't fit yet means more. As I said, these formations aren't necessarily meant to work. If you were preparing for a high line you wouldn't have that combination, however these are fictitious and in a close call I'm not saying Nesta is better, I'm saying he's my choice because I love him.

Firstly, the credit comment wasn't even related to the Barcelona game, it was for his longevity. However, not deserving credit? Most defenders are still left helpless when they park the bus against Barcelona.

Nesta wont get the protection he gets from milan in any top clubs.Milan almost always play with 3 defensive midfielders and Boeteng who i rate as a box to box player as a CAM.No other top team is that much defensive in nature.
Also nesta in a high line is suicide.Nesta will be good for a counter attacking team,other than that i will take Kompany or Smalling any day of the week,regardless of their potential.

It's natural that different centre-backs should more naturally suit a particular style. Nesta's positioning would sustain his potential in a higher line to a greater degree than you suspect, however I have no problem with your statement that you'd take those centre-backs, it's your personal choice.

I would discuss the '3 defensive midfielders' comment which is often taken out of context given the available options we had and their tactical instruction, however I'd be dragging the thread off topic.

Valdes is better than Szczesny, easily and even if you're going to debate that, Valdes is better for Barcelona than Szczesny is so Valdes would start either way.
