Di Maria is probably the one that most often tries to curve the ball into the net and often on target or hit the post. He could be the candidate as well.

Benz' technique doesn't allow for a dip. It's curled... True. But that's not enough. He doesn't really need to work on a dip as a CF. Midfielders and AMs often make the best FK takers because they work on the vertical weight of kicks the most. To me, Alonso, Ozil and Sahin are the best candidates.

Sahin is prob the best FK taker in the team atm, but will have to see when he's better what Mou decides to do

Freekick taking is a completely different art,it is not really associated with shooting accuracy during play.

Kaka was/is a great long ranger but his freekicks are poor.another one is messi.

Sahin is the best in our squad imo.

He's good but check how many goals he's scored in set piece situations. No where near Cris in that regard.

thing is that he isnt predictable,he can actually cross it to a team mate if the angle is tough enough to score,which ronaldo cant or has never done.

well Ronaldo helped in the free kick goal last night, his presence made the defense forget about coverage, so I do not think he should be stripped of the duty

Just the short range ones and the ones that are way too far... I don't think CR7 knows how to finesse anything and he doesn't center the ball on FKs. Leave the mid range FKs for CR7.

Me thinks Ronaldo needs to go back and practice free kick taking a bit. It has really gotten bad (if one did not think it was bad already).

benzema did score few goals when he was in lyon from freekicks, i am sure he can dip it if needed.

Zealous its not about scoring freekicks, its about making the most of the chances u get from the freekick. sometimes one shud go for goal like cr7 does, other times shud go for a play that leads to a goal like alonso.

I prefer alonso in that there is a higher chance of converting a play into a goal vs gunning for goal like cr7 does.

This is something that annoys me as well.

Go check how many of Alonso's crosses have led to goals. I understand that he should take free kicks if the position is a good one (acute angle) but pretending that Alonso crosses usually lead to goals is not true.
