Well until the people that run Albanian football (FA's people) are still there, Albanian football will stay at the same level. It's a corrupted institution, 35-36 year old players are still on the team, while young players either don't get called up or rot on the bench, just cause the 35 y.o. know people inside Albanian's FA.

Hope it all changes tho'.

In more small country news, Malta held Georgia to a draw! Yay! First point!

Every time, we perform well and hold the opponent to a draw, then lose to a freak goal in the last minute. Broke our hearts at home against Greece the other day. Maltese football is rife with betting, match fixing, and corruption, so I have no doubt those results were nothing but coincidental.

Amazing goal from Mifsud though. (yes, I am aware that nobody cares)

Hooray for Malta!!

I'm always happy for small countries doing well. The most impressive are obviously Uruguay but Slovenia making the Euros was impressive as well.

They only have 2.000.000 people.

you mean world cup, weve never appeared in a Euro tournament since the breaking up of yugoslavia and it seems like its gonna stay that way too after losing to estonia and italy...
