messi is great but for me, i think i like ronaldo more, the pac,e the strength, the good dribbling skills, and his effectiveness in the grandest stage of them all.

They're both incredibly talented footballers but I'm going with Messi here, call me bias but the things Messi does, nobody else can do. Nobody.

I would say Ronaldo because he has been successful at interntional level. Messi has more potential. For me Messi is the only player that can be as close to maradona.

The pre inury Ronado was the best player I have ever seen.
Could be getting the dates wrong, but his first season at Inter (99?) and backwards, there was noone I ever seen as devastating and as uncontrollable as him.
There was no answer for him.
After the kneee injury, he came down to level of mortal, still on occasion and for spells the best player in the world, but before the injury he was something else.
ps: LOL @ putting Cristiano in this debate.
