I think he should have faith in Bojan just because he's clearly the right player for that position. He'll come good, he looked comfy in pre-season. Playing Boriello and Osvaldo won't make a very productive forwardline.

IMO they should have done everything in their power to keep either Vucinic or Menez... Bojan-Totti-Vucinic would be an excellent forwardline... and Boriello and Lamela could back up.

I'm glad we kept Borriello because we absolutely needed one physical striker to complement our other attackers like Totti, Bojan and Lamela. He's the only one that would allow us to play the occasional long ball forward, though Enrique is discouraging those plays which we were accustomed to with our previous coaches. And when he came on against Cagliari, he actually did rather well and nearly scored on his first attempt on goal, just like Borini. The Osvaldo acquisition is a little strange. He's an ok player, but I think we overpaid for him. We'll give him time to show his worth, hopefully he could be the reincarnation of Batistuta (but that's really wishful thinking). I was expecting a winger as well, but we had a lot of transfers to deal with, I would expect a winger to arrive next summer when we'll have a better idea of what kind of team we have.

As for Vucinic and Menez, we had our hands tied with those transfers. Menez was way too lazy and was never going to be able to fit into Enrique's system imo. He has to play in the middle behind two strikers in order to be effective. Whenever he plays on the wing, he just gets lost and disappears. He wanted to leave so we just let him go. As for Vucinic, our management really wanted to hang on to him, but the relationship between him and the fans hit rock bottom last season. He needed a different challenge so we had to let him go, though I think we should have sold him abroad.

Bojan is being tipped to start against Atalanta on Saturday, though these line-up predictions are meaningless with Enrique in charge. He likes keeping everyone clueless, to stimulate them. Double-edged sword that could be.

Great match today. Bojan is starting to blossom, as is LE's style of football. I thought it was a great showing by nearly all the new additions and they deserved better. The ref gave Lazio a gigantic amount of help with that red, hopefully Brocchi will get sanctioned for diving. I'm dissapointed Lamela didn't debut today, I think he was supposed to (he was warming up) but the red card conditioned the game against him.

The fact that totti dosen't even make the squad list is ridiculous.................

I watched the match.. Roma were the better side in first half, they are improving from match to match!! Kjaer was doing great job in first half, but lack of experience resulted in a big mistake in 2nd half, which was a turing point in the match.. The red card is harsh imo (brocchi exaggerated when falling).. its true that Lazio had very gd chance after the sending off, including a great chance for Cisse ( great vole ).. but, Klose's goal was offside..

A Draw was more fair..

Hope that Bojan keeps on improving & gaining more confidence!!

So Bojan has been playing great as a sub... anyone else find that weird?

So Bojan scored what proved to be a consolation goal today, in our 3-2 loss. The kid is improving already; he seemed a little out of place at first which is normal. He's slowly settling in, however one thing that I have noticed is that he plays especially well as a substitute. In every match that he's started, he was inconsistent and went unseen for lengthy periods. However, every time he came on as a substitute, he injected some real energy into the team and was that much more convincing (as was the case today). I've said it quite often in the Roma section, but he really is similar to Montella of 10 years ago, who scored countless times coming off the bench. That and they pretty much have the same style and characteristics. He's been doing relatively well and hopefully he keeps improving.
