his father was against this kid playing for Canada. His father was mad at the fact his son was kicked-off the Ontario U-12 team, and then threatened to have his son play for Jamaica.

and the reason canada doesn't schedule friendlies and such on international breaks is because they don't have the funds to send the players....because no one goes and watches them when they do play, its quite sad, but the product on the field is also, no one gives a bleep about anything but hockey in this country...i love hockey too don't get me wrong *go leafs go* but i also love football....this is one of the better sides Canada has been able to field tho in a long time and Hoilett would just add, i think he needs to give his ego a check and realize he will never be a england player...and that Canada have a easy group and a real shot at making some noise in World Cup Qualifiers

you have an easy group up until you have to face Honduras who eliminated you 2-3 years ago and a Panama team thats on the up and up.

no reason why canada can't win, it's not like they have to face Mexico/USA...which would be automatic loss, games a there for the taking

Canada is fighting for 2nd.. imo. Panama eliminates you. I haven't seen improvement since last cycle.

I dont get why canada cannot produce a decent team. There are enough kids that are genuinlly intrested in football. Second generation immigrants from the Africans, Portuguese, Hispanic, British, Eastern European, Asian, Italian community should should provide the country with gems. If canada, a g8 nation cannot match the budget of 3rd world countries to assemble a football team, they dont even deserve to freakin participate in any events. FFS

I do believe he could be an England player one day. Seems talented enough.
