DFL (German Football League) gets rid of "Lex Leverkusen & Wolfsburg"
as they have been already previously engaged in the finances of a club for 20 years.
Until now this wasn't possible. The only teams with an exception were Leverkusen and
Wolfsburg as both were founded as company clubs by Bayer and VW respectively.
Adidas to take over Bayern Munich soon???
Wanto know more about the 50+1 rule in German football, here's a great piece by Uli Hesse-
Lichtenberger:

I only saw a statement of DFL president Rauball just now and he claims that the 50+1 rule will still be there in the core. He explicitely said that in German football, investors still won't be able to take over clubs easily, and he streses that there should be no fear we'd get conditions like in England, Spain or Italy.

Rauball is talking a lot of phish though.
The Arab guy at Munich basically already has control despite not even being the majority owner.
It's in his contract that he can veto and decide about all transfers.
So it's pretty easy to circumvent the rule. Same thing happens in Hoffenheim and Leipzig.

I didn't know a thread existed already. Many people don't realize the consequences
1. It makes it even harder for Serie A clubs to take back the 3rd spot.
2. Long term, with more investment, Bundesliga will attack la liga. In 10 years, you might see , EPL and Bundesliga at the top
Most recent development but you can't understand English I guess
Basic explanation, teams are allowed to sell up to 49% of their share to comercial oraganizations Up until now, only Wolfsburg and Leverkusen were allowed to. Expect investors to come

Re: DFL (German Football League) gets rid of "Lex Leverkusen & Wolfsburg"
Those articles I posted just to get those of you who have no idea about the rule some background info.
The decision was made today.
Babun, but not "new" invetors, only those who have been involved with a club for at least 20 years.
That's a huge difference to other leagues. The Bundesliga still don't want some foreign rich guys
overtaking clubs and it won't happen with the new rule.
Not much will change, how many clubs do have insanely rich guys or firms working with them for 20 years?
Not many, not even Hannover 96 who wanted the change. How long has Adidas beein a shareholder of Bayern?

Then why are you so enthusiastic?
You said "expect investors to come"!
Do you really think lots will suddenly with the promise to take over a club in 20 years?

Well, I think the club boards wouldn't be too enthusiastic to have rich people trying to tell them what to do anyway. The HSV board actually kicked out a guy who wanted to give them 10 million Euros some months ago because he tried to tell them what to do with the money. (Seeing the HSV atm, I wonder if he wouldn't have done better, though )

Well Hamburgs problem isn't lack of funds, it's lack of decent management.
