Should Inter sell Maicon?

I say yes, especially if Mourinho wants him. He is past his prime and his value will only go down. Still a great RB, but if Inter ever want to cash in on him they are already behind.

Inter are looking for a replacement on the Left back, and that only means that Maicon's departure is only a matter of time. I can see only Zanetti replacing him in the right, because he just isnt shaped for a defensive midfielder.

I am very sure he isn't going to be benched, but he is not going to play in the midfield, as Branca and later Leonardo emphasized our lack of speed and creativity in the midfield. We are desperately looking for a midfielder who can defend well and spread the ball effectively throughout the field from the defense, and Zanetti is good only at the first one. Considering our interest for a LB, the only place I see him playing MORE OFTEN will be his natural position, the right back. I wouldn't consider his age for now, since he has performed decently in the defensive roles.

However, we cannot know what will happen to him next year, he is getting 38 years old.

Nagatomo is another good option for the RB.

We don't need him if Coentrao is coming.

They should have sold him last season when Real were offering 28 million. Now his value is 15-18 million. But oh what the hell, good for us

i think inter would make the best deal of the summer by selling him..it was not only against spurs ,but he has been useless and unmotivated the entire season...not to forget the 5-2 drubbing of schalke as well

As long as Maicon keeps his goal & assist tally up he's by far the most effective attacking right back in Serie A.

You can blame him for the spurs & schalke bashings all you want but at the end of the day its the Coach who ultimately decides how well a group of individuals play of the course of a season.

In terms of value I think he's worth 15-20m.

lol...Maicon's value fell by more than half just because of a bad match against Bale.

He has been great for the second half of the season. A bad start does not make him a bad player
