What's up with everyone putting '*bleep*' in their posts nowadays? Or is it the mods at work?

Well Gervinho would be Nasri's replacement in the long run, finding someone to replace a player of Cesc's calibre is a tad more complicatedSwagg_Johnson wrote:Yeah that is true but Nasri and Fab were two of your best players right? Their loss has to be compensated for some how.. Compared to last year, they're at a "negative balance" if you will

When's the last time Wenger has bought a 28-year-old or older player?

santos is an upgrade over clichy. That guy had no tactical awarness. He was beat lots one on one and was exposed lots. But was able to cover for this with his recovery speed, but whenever we saw him u against a top class winger, he got burned bad.

I hate to disagree with you my friend, but Gael was not a money whore. He was a gooner through and through. It was OUR inability to spend that made him leave. He saw that the board did not give two shit about the progression of the team. He rejected several bids from Madrid, Juve, and Milan and stayed with us. He also rejected Man city the first time around man. Its a shame because he really believed in the team, but our board let him down.
Nasri on the other hand is a mercenary to the core... he dropped Marsilles for us at the blink of an eye (they were building a team around him when he was 17, even when they had guys like Cana, Cisse, Ribery), He then dropped us the moment Man city came sniffing.

Anyways, the money whore comment is because he said no to Liverpool. Also, my City bias.

Re: Arsenal signs Andre Santos
I cant lie man, Man city looks like the most prosperous and ambitious club for now in the PL. While we share the traditional rivalry with Liverpool, City are the new kid int he block... He probably saw it as less offensive? lol but there is the money factor no doubt.
Somewhat similar to Torres opting to sign with Chelsea when apparently he also had offers from Man United. (And yes i do believe Torres really cared about Liverpool)

Torres went to Chelsea because they are the only CL club offered 50 mil.
Traditional rivalry Liverpool and Arsenal share?

Traditional rivalry in a sense that we were both part of the "top 4" ok rivalry since the birth of the PL. Torres said he did not want to join United because he respected Liverpool.

Torres had a clause in his contract which wont allow him to move to United even if his buy-out clause is met.So even if he wanted to go he wouldnt have been able to do so.And anyway United were never in for him at the quoted prices either
