Kompany needs more than 1 good season to be better than Rio kid. Anyway id compare Kompany to Vidic since theyre both teams best defenders.
Youngs start to the season has been exceptional. at the end of the season he will have had a better year than Silva. I guarantee it.

On a side note, Richards is so mediocre. Hes strong, thats it. Average going forward and just stands in the way while defending.

I hate this only thing is mentality crap. I guess ive dreamt up Nani / Valencia / Young destroying FBs, Rooney playing the no 10 role like god, Hernandez becoming one of the best goal poachers around.

Take Nani. Hes had a fantastic 18 months but still people dont see it. Theyll pick Nasri who, by gooner fans admission, only had 3 standout months in his whole career.
Ive had people tell me Higuain was better than Rooney. When Rooney nearly left? Nobody here wanted him, Juve were mentioned as the likely destination ffs. Thats 3 months after he scored 34 in an alien role, 2 months before he plays like god in the hole.

United have great squad depth, but I doubt its the greatest of all time.

I think its also about how you measure squad depth... is 5 quality players better than 11 good players? Are we talking quality or quantity? etc. etc.

Its impressive that United could have the likes of Rafael, Jones, Smalling, Giggs, Park, Valencia and Berbatov on the bench, but I don't really see it as being any more impressive than many other great teams. There's a lot of players I could add, but other teams have just as good depth really.

For example... City could have Kolo Toure, Kolarov, De Jong, Balotelli, Milner, Johnson and Tevez all on the bench. Barca could have Adriano, Mascherano, Fabregas, Thiago, Sanchez and Afellay all on the bench.

And I agree with you about the mentality thing. United's team was just the best in the EPL last year, thats simple. This year though... we'll see.

Thanks but i'll make my own opinions about a guy who completes 97% of his passes including 11 key ones along with 3 assists on his debut for a team he doesnt yet know how they play at White Hart Lane against a Spurs team at best missing Jermaine Jenas.

If Redknapp plays Modric then he obviously thinks a guy who doesn't want to be there is better than the rest of his options in midfield.....If he'd bought his A game it wouldn't have made one iota of difference anyway.

Incidently in 86 Premier League games for Arsenal Nasri got 8 Assists. Yesterday he got 3 in 1 game for City.

Nani´s skill is unquestionable. His decision making can be poor but thats more to do with him wanting to do it all himself rather than being a stupid footballer like kalou.

Nasri only been really good for 3 months. He started of good in his debut season for arsenal though before injured but still...
