Re: The 2011 Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
I personally think Gervinho is much better than Dzsudzsak.

Hey, Dzsudsak. I wouldn't mind him, and he'd come cheap, too. Gervinho or him, whoever but we need backup wingers and a long term replacement for Arshavin.
A WINGER, Wenger. Not just an off position ACM.

Re: The 2011 Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
I completely agree with you. If Wenger were to splash the cash for someone, I would give all my support for him to use it on Hazard. He's worth it, and he's getting a lot of attention. So if we want him, we better act.srigooner wrote:Sushi Master wrote:Hey, Dzsudsak. I wouldn't mind him, and he'd come cheap, too. Of course this is if Nasri doesn't frak it up and leave, then we'd need 2 wingers.

No idea on that Hungarian dude but as most of us i'm excited about Hazard he could be our star player for a long time provided AW splashes the cash to buy him.

Re: The 2011 Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
I wouldn't mind selling Nasri if we can get Hazard. Then again, Nasri has matured (not in terms of keeping his head during contract nego, definitely, but on the pitch - Yes) and has some PL experience.
I don't want to see us become a team of youngsters all over again by selling the players who have grown with us now. Thats probably the only reason why I wouldn't sell him after his comments this week. The Fabregas rumours are bad enough.

Well, Gervinho is a SS who happens to have the ability and tendecy to drift wide and back in (like Villa &Pato) hence he's sometimes used as a wingerSushi Master wrote:Hey, Dzsudsak. Re: The 2011 Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
Gervinho's agent told sport.co.uk today that the player wants to leave Lille and play in the premier league next season. He confirmed that Arsenal and Man City are both interested in him as well as clubs abroad.
Finally, he confirmed that the player will have a new club by Friday!

Re: The 2011 Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
Well, as SS he should have more goal capacity than an usual winger. He has a 0.46 goal to game ratio for Lille, which is awesome. It's a nice tradeoff to have. I'd prefer goals to tricks. He's very fast which is good enough to be a winger in the Premier League.Ze_GunMan wrote:Well, Gervinho is a SS who happens to have the ability and tendecy to drift wide and back in (like Villa &Pato) hence he's sometimes used as a wingerSushi Master wrote:Hey, Dzsudsak. i'm also just hoping he settles quickly and helps us convert some of those 1000 chances hahaha! would be great to get back to the pace attacking football of old! Let's hope shitty don't make him an offer he can't refuse, although i think he'd be silly to go there!!Sushi Master wrote:Well, as SS he should have more goal capacity than an usual winger. Thats possibly good news. And players probably go to City only cause they pay well. We are much much better than City! Heck, ManShitty doesn't even have a page on this Forum now, does it?

He speaks French, so I'd say he'd adapt very quickly to Arsenal . We also know Arsene is the master of Ligue 1 signings. He has Eboue who plays in his NT.Ze_GunMan wrote:i'm also just hoping he settles quickly and helps us convert some of those 1000 chances hahaha! would be great to get back to the pace attacking football of old! Shitty is still shitty, heh.

Re: The 2011 Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
Sky Sports News understands that Arsenal are trying to sign Phil Jones, and view Scott Dann as the cheaper alternative.
However, Liverpool are also keen on both.
Blackburn want around £16m for Jones whilst Birmingham, despite relegation, are asking for £10m for Dann.

Re: The 2011 Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
Arsenal could sign Shakhtar's highly-rated Brazilian midfielder Willian for £4m + Denilson http://bit.ly/kqhrdV
Re: The 2011 Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
I would be encouranged by that report if the source wasn't the Sun.
We'll be mugging Shakhtar good and proper if we pull that deal off.

I don't think Hazard for Nasri would be that much of a backwards step. He's younger sure, but I'd say he's about as good as him.

Nothing will be concreted for at least another week, transfers and contract extensions. Wenger being contracted to French TV station, travels shit load around Europe and South America, won't be back til next week.
Another week of rumors & speculations w/o any real progression

Re: The 2011 Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
Hazard definitely has more potential than Nasri, he has killer instinct which we can't say Nasri does.
Problem with Hazard though is how long it will take him to adapt to the new league. If Nasri ever leave and we end up with Hazard (or any other talent for that matter), I just wish Wenger will not make the same mistake thrice. Seems like vicious cycle, 1st Flam then Ade now Nasri & Clichy, who next
