Juventus will be without Alessandro Matri in the first race of the season, on Sunday evening at the "Friuli" in Udine. The Juventus striker will have to stand still a couple of weeks due to distortion remedied in the Trofeo Berlusconi.
TWO WEEKS OUT MATRI - was announced by the company for Juventus, in a statement posted on Juventus.com: "As a result of trauma distorting reported during the Berlusconi Trophy on Sunday night, this morning Alessandro Matri was subjected to diagnostic tests at the Clinic Fornaca sixty in Turin - the note reads -. examinations showed a distortion of First Instance of the right ankle. The prognosis for full functional recovery is fifteen days. "

Juventus will be without Alessandro Matri for two weeks after he picked up an ankle injury against Milan.
The Italian international limped off during Sunday night’s Trofeo Berlusconi match at San Siro, won 2-1 by the Rossoneri.

The official Juve website confirmed this evening that tests showed Matri sprained his right ankle.

“The prognosis for a complete recovery is 15 days.”

This rules Matri out of the opening Serie A game against Udinese this weekend.

I'm sick of injuries. I thought arsenal gave us a run for our money on injuries but we have equal injuries WITHOUT BEING IN OUR SEASON YET.

We either have bad luck or no luck.

Vucinic has been near that level a couple times (20 goal mark)
He can do it again no problem, not that he will have to but I'm just saying.

Also, Quagliarella had a very good chance of being near the 20 goal mark as well if he had not been injured but that is the best and we can't say for sure, only speculate.

Matri will be fine but I am almost happy that Quagliarella has that much more of an opportunity, he deserves the chance and he needs this for his confidence.

So, currently, he isn't better than either Vucinic or Quagliarella

At least your strikers will have to fight for a spot now so that should increase their performances.

@Zarola: Quagliarella has not played a full, competitive game since December. It would be unlikely that he would be played for the entire 90 minutes of the game v. Udinese. It is more likely that Del Piero will play for about half the match before maybe Quagliarella getting his start.

It is no use comparing the two, both had records that saw them score about a goal every two games, albeit Matri played more and scored more but that was only due to Quagliarella's injury.
