Re: The Resurrection of Ronaldinho?
our defenses are not hat bad,the only reason they look bad is because people normally watch youtube videos of players owning them and the strikers and midfielders over here are of good quality.I see a lot of autrocious defending in Europe too, specially in la liga and epl.
about santos, they lost their players for the copa america,u20 WC and injuries + occasional losses.
The schedule is awful, there are still matchdays on fifa dates.
Good for the rest

Re: The Resurrection of Ronaldinho?
Ligue 1 is a joke tbh.
PSG SUCK, Marseille is ehhhh, Lyon is up and down.. I'm pretty sure Santos, Sao Paulo, Flamengo, Corinthians, Cruzeiro, Internacional and Fluminense can all beat Lyon, PSG and Marseille.
We got racks on racks on racks of CWC titles. don't hate the player, hate the game.

If it helps you sleep better at night, sure lol.
But in the end, all the best players in your league wind up in Europe as soon as they show something in Brazil. Some of the best players in the world currently and in their prime (not kids with potential) play in Ligue 1.

The Brazilian league isn't on par with any top European ones, they're below France and Portugal.

this is the most ridiculous argument i have ever seen here.
Sorry SA fans, not looking to hurt sensibilities, but it's time you get over yourselves about the CWC. European clubs have stopped caring about it for a long time now. Represents nothing of note for top european clubs. It's a nice exotic trophy they play in the winter, they get to travel away from the cold, discover new countries, meet the fans, play some football to please to mass.
Not really a big deal, sorry to break the news. If you guys prepare for it like it's the world cup, well, sorry to break the news, but it's not a big deal, and except for you, not many care. Those guys are just waiting to go on the winter break.

This is an empty argument, virtually nobody watches your league here, you can be blowing up smokes and stretching facts, no one would know what's what.
Be happy in your belief, my opinion on the matter wont even budge.

Like i said, if it helps you sleep better at night. Your second sentence is completely ignorant though and doesn't make you look very credible on these boards... first sentence too actually; but at least you can debate that a bit until you actually look at the facts lol.

Is it me?
Or the Ligue 1 is quite underrated here in terms of their strength and potential.
Not only that, but they do tend to play some good solid tactical football.

Re: The Resurrection of Ronaldinho?
well,in the end it goes to just opinion, because there is nothing other than CWC to judge on(which european clubs lead by only 1 trophy and always have an amzingly hard time beating SA teams ).But it must be said that you guys are underrating our teams waaay too much....

Re: The Resurrection of Ronaldinho?
Even a dried up exhausted Dinho is more creative than all the midfielders Brazil have at its disposal, including Ganso etc.
Put really strong defensive mids behind him and let him orchestrate the attack, his vision/passing technique is still there

Except we tried that at Milan as he only showed glimpses of his brilliance and it was only effective against small team.
Biggest example was Dinho against United, Madrid, and Inter.
His best position with us was on the far left.

Dinho is indeed much better positioned at the far left...always has been.

dinho is playing as a secondary striker atn,but he likes dropping deep and tracking back, something he didnt do in Europe and specially for Milan

Again, before making assumptions watch him playArquitecto wrote:babun1024 wrote:Even a dried up exhausted Dinho is more creative than all the midfielders Brazil have at its disposal, including Ganso etc.

When I saw him last time for Santos, he was fitter, went into one on ones and tracked back... You know, no matter how intelligent someone is one needs raw material to gain knowledge

@ganso
If you guys are really afraid of using him, something like this might work:
Alves--------------Marcelo
-------------DM-------------
-------CM---------CM-------
-------------Dinho-----------
--striker-----------striker----
The DM needs to be ultra defensive. Both CM should be able to pass and defend. Incorporate Ganso after Dinho retires, he isn't ready , yet

I love your condescending tone.
In Brazil, they aren't exactly known for their defense.... Scratch that, its atrocious.
Fact of the matter is that Dinho could not do it against the Italian elite and in Europe.
And speaking of assuming?
Dinho was far more fit in the 2009-2010 season then he has been now.

I have as he has replicated his form that he briefly had with Milan in the season with Leonardo except that he is playing a more advanced role.
Although he is playing quite well, the defenses in Brazil possess a deep line in which he has ample time to do his magic along with the fact that defensive tactics seem to be non-existent within some of the teams.
