this match was a perfect chance for OSCAR AND LUCAS to get some experience for next year's olympic games, and what does he do? he doesnt play them (well, oscar a little towards the end). when people asked why he didn't play lucas, he said "there was no time" or something.. his interviews are worse than his teams. he is so incoherent.

lucas has been to the copa américa, other friendlies, and has less playing time than RENATO ABREU, a guy who doesn't have the football, the age, or the talent to be playing for us . lucas perhaps can't compete with other players at the full brazil squad, but at the copa roca... come on. what's he so scared of? oh yes:

he is scared of losing his job. so he's completely ruining the "plan" he so eloquently talked about some time ago. look at brazil, playing with fear. fear of what??????? that argentina was completely mediocre, no offense... but the argentinean league just hasn't been strong lately. we, on the other hand, have been doing well, and we had a pretty decent team. look at the players we had compared to theirs... but we were afraid of something.

imagine if argentina had been able to count on d'alessandro, montillo, verón, riquelme, even martinuccio.. we would've been humiliated by a mediocre side.

i read somewhere a funny thing: mano is doing everything he can to be fired, so that he is not embarrassed in 2014 lol. he's realized he's not good enough. he never was imo, but he had some good ideas.. now he's just screwing around..

some people have been talking about brazil needing a gringo as a coach, someone who's not afraid of CBF, just like dunga wasn't, and who isn't intimidated by the brazilian press. i for one can't see brazil being run by a foreigner, but i can see their point.

Isn't it ridiculous how Argentina want to call up Montillo, D'Alessandro and other Brazilian based players for their game against Brazil in Belém, which should involve only domestic-based players?

If that happens, it will end up being a Brazil vs Brazil game!

But those players do deserve call ups for Argentina's national team though.

Leandro Damião will be out for 20 days with an injury, so he is not going to play Brazil's upcoming game against Argentina (Superclásico de las Américas) and the friendlies against Costa Rica and Mexico.

As Pato is injured too (hopefully for a month or so), that will hopefully force Mano Menezes to call up Borges from Santos. I expect Fred to be called up as well as he had a great game against Avaí.
