I know hes old but hes still amazing. And he is better than no one. This is good news even if we dont get him because it means we're secretly looking for someone.

I love Forlan... but he's 4-5 years older then what we need right now... its too bad... he said it would be a dream come true to play for us...

roumers say we're getting him for 6 M, but would we spend that amount plus his supposidly big salary for a 32 years old ? he's not even suited for our tactics if we're playing 433 or 343

Big salary so I doubt it. Need a younger player- although if playing 3-4-3 I don't think strikers are where we need players- wingers and okay maybe a target man.

Why would our management sell Eto'o due to wage demands then buy someone with almost the same wage??? They are smarter than that. I expect a CM and thats all.

yes apparently he's willing to take a pay cut. Eto's wage is 10m, forlan's will probably be 3.5m or something similar

I'd still prefer to just not get him....3.5m is still more than most of our players make

I actually really like this Forlan signing. I was skeptical at first, but he's actually a really good short term purchase, 2 years or so.

I think of him as an ideal Pandev replacement. With Forlan in our lineup, Pandev will rarely grace the field. Forlan is not injury prone, pretty versatile, a great goal scoring record everywhere he's played (bar Man U). He has a good relationship with Cambiasso, Zanetti and Samuel.

For 5 mil euros and he's willing to take a big paycut, I think we may have gotten a decent signing.
