Yeah, Inzaghi > Messi, CR7

so simple...

Petit > Cruyff

The logic is flawless!!!

Still have not figured out how to use the quote function correctly eh Cyber ?

I would expect a criticism of my logic to be ideally from someone who does not make a thread saying Cleverely > Sneijder. Just me though.

But I can't agree with Cleverly > Sneijder. He may be better in the future, but right now Sneijder's a very, very good player, and Cleverly's still in the process of establishing himself.
I do not believe anyone said individually Cleverly > Sneijder. Cyber is biased, but not that biased. He said Cleverly is better for MU just as I said Lanzafame would be better than Honda for Juventus. :coffee:
Your powers of comprehension seem to alter from thread to thread...

nick why do you allow yourself to get trolled/flamed so easily? do you need to post and post and post and post arguing yourself into the ground with people that dont share remotely the same opinion as you and clearly dont want to change theirs? Nor do they put any stock in what your saying...

so rather than continue derailing thread after thread, cant you just ignore some of these people and stay on topic? why such a need to defend yourself?

I am staying on topic. The topic is Goal.com failing in putting Chicharito where they did, and so I am commenting on it.

@Cyber: funny. You said he is better right now. I said for the future and for MU he is better as he fits more into the system. Individually, miles apart. But your comprehension also seems to stay the same, a lackthereof.

Cleverly was just an ending note, not necessarily an opening for a discussion, and yes, speaking of other poachers in relation to a current poacher was used to back my points up. How else would you be able to debunk Chicharito's rating according to Goal.com ?

You posted after it. I said I "do not think" prior to your other statements saying MU need Cleverly now more than they need Sneijder because he is a better midfielder, thus rendering him better in my opinion.

But this is just a derailing of a thread, so back on topic yes ?

goal.com may very well be the most subtle troll of all time. It does it on the daily and look how many threads have been started because of them

Other strikers above Eto'o: Suarez, Tevez, and Cavani

At least Chicarito was part of a winning team and CL finalist. It's not all about the goals you score, it is about how well the team does.

I think there is no question that Eto'o is a better footballer but sometimes people have better years.

Suarez ? I would not go that far. He may be more talented, but in terms of who had a better year, Chicharito > Suarez for me this year. But Tevez and Eto'o are certainly better. So are numerous others, but as you said the fact he got to the CL gave him points and the fact it was his debut season in a big league and club made it even more impressive.

Exactly. goal isn't retarded at all. People have big years, that is the way it goes. Just like Sneijder in 09/10. What other notable years has Sneijder had? Hardly any, but that year he was ranked amongst the best midfielders.

Also, when I said strikers above Eto, I meant on the goal list.

Well I think the problem is that players like Tevez and Eto'o, veterans, should have been ranked higher, but Chicharito had a debut year and came close to their goalscoring record and went farther than their teams so that is why he is ranked highly.

But Cavani > Chicharito any day of the week.

There's middle ground, you know?

Hernandez doesn't suck, he is a good forward.

alright I want you to do a top 50 players list right now and show me 50 players better then him

unless your gonna do a Kirnar and go "NO!"

I'm not gonna do that, I have a life you know, and I didn't watch all leagues.

I'm not saying he wasn't a top 50 player, but top 10 is just ridiculous for a player that warmed the bench for half a season and that aside some good performances vs. Marseille and Schalke wasn't really very good in CL.

There are all different types of strikers

Some are pacey, fast forwards, like Eto'o and Pato
Some are poachers, like Inzaghi and Chicarito
Some set-up more than they put away such as Lavezzi

There are so many different kinds of forwards, some may not score as much as others but they show their value to the team in other ways (e.g. link-up play)
