Well, compared to how shit Torres has been these past few years...

Yeah, he looked like the lovechild of Mueller and Batistuta today.

He's crap for Spain lol, even when he was banging them in for Liverpool he was crap.....

There's a reason Hierro had a better goal scoring record and goal to game ratio than Torres :lol!:

Llorente and Villa and Mata/Pedro should start up front for Spain.

Torres now a days should be sitting some where by the water cooler. It amazes me they won the WC with Torres starting almost every game considering how absolute shit he was

I agree with the ratings, maybe you guys should rewatch the match, best player over the course of the match, only Begovic probably had a better match.

Just cause he was the best player doesnt mean he requires a high rating, maybe they were all mediocre and he was just the best of the worse Smile

You clearly didn't watch the match then. He was superb all game.

Was beating players for fun throughout the entire 90 minutes and should have been given two penalties.

The Torres hate is getting boring.

I personally thought Wheelan deserved MOTM. Both wheelan had Woodgate had better games than Torres though he was probably one of Chelsea's better player.

I actually did watch the game.

If he had the same game in the red shirt, he would have gotten a 6.5-7 at best.

It'll about expectations and how they have plumitted lately, and this is considered a 8 performance.

But his best is of course yet to come...He is an outstanding player and no one has seen his sheer genius and brilliance better than us Liverpool fans.

Torres has lost a ton of pace. He used to blast past defenders in Liverpool. Now, he is barely able to keep pace with them. The fall in pace is drastic. It is even greater than Eto's loss of pace when he got the knee injury at Barcelona

Without that pace he is only half the player he was. Unless he gets his old pace back, he will continue in the same vein of form IMO....

I thought Torres was average aswell but i did watch the game, just because it was better than last year does'nt mean he played well because he did'nt does'nt mean someone did'nt watch the game....

He did'nt deserve MOTM i was actually laughing when i heard that as there were so many players that were better.

To end it he was better than last year but still average i would have gave him a 6.5 or a 7 out of 10.

no I dont mind people commenting and judging if they actually watched the match. But commenting without watching the full match is a losers job! I didnt say that Torres was the best or whatever. I personally think that Begovic was the MOTM IMO.

Goal.coms summary to Asmir Begovic
The Bosnian was on hand to make a good early save from a Bosingwa
cross-cum-shot that was arrowing towards the inside of the near post.
Made an acrobatic save to deny Mikel a stunner from distance.

I thought Torres was exceptional, he did very well. The most dangerous player on the pitch. Torres played a lot deeper, and was very much involved in the build up. Something you wouldn't have seen under Ancelotti.

Very happy what AVB has done with him in a short period of time.

But i am sure haters gonna keeping on hating.
