Conte: 'Juve need time'

Antonio Conte warned Juventus “don’t want to fool anybody. It will take time to become competitive” after a draw with Real Betis Seville.
They played out the goalless stalemate against the Spaniards at the Stadio Arechi in Salerno on Saturday night.

“Betis are at a more advanced stage in pre-season preparations, plus in recent years Italian sides have struggled against the Spanish clubs,” said the Coach.

“I saw some positive things and others that need to be improved. There’s work to do, but we are calm, as you don’t earn victories overnight. We’re in the middle of a process and the team must play the ball more.

“We mustn’t get discouraged, as I expected us to be in this position. I understand the enthusiasm of the fans, but we don’t want to fool anybody. It will take time and patience to become competitive.”

Alessandro Matri and Mirko Vucinic were the centre-forwards against Betis, with Cristian Pasquato and Milos Krasic on the wings.

The Spaniards scored with Molina in an offside position, while the goalkeepers needed saves to deny Krasic, Pasquato and Montero.

At one point Gigi Buffon was beaten, but Andrea Barzagli performed a goalline clearance to stop Montero from scoring.

After the break Marco Storari took over and had his gloves stung by Molina’s snapshot, while substitute Alessandro Del Piero forced another tough save.

Where did sorensen play when he came on?

Haha yeh he would b. He works very very hard

The progress made already looks good- Conte's system is radical and will take time.

Not only that but it's a very physically demanding system and will take time to get the fitness levels up.
