It's not Kaka that is the problem, it's just that when Kaka plays Özil gets "sacrificed". Özil is limited at RW, and as seen yesterday we played EXTREMLY narrow. That is why I prefer Callejon becouse he atleast occupies the wing and lets Özil do his mojo in the middle.

Yes, but when we have Higuain and Ronaldo starting, I would prefer to have 2 creators so you have to choose between Özil. Kaka, Di maria and Benzema and in our case di maria was injured and benzema half fit or very close to full fitness but not quite there.

So imagine if we had started Ronaldo, Higuain, Callejon and Özil. The opposing team would have double marked Özil and our forwards would have been quite starved simply because all of three forwards (cr,hig,cal) excel in scoring rather than creating and the only creator would be sandwiched between 2 big russians. :B

So in this case I believe Mourinho made the right choice to start both Kaka and Özil despite Özil being more limited in RW role.

P.S. Good game from Kaka, he played well and seemed to enjoy his game, I did too.

Kaka has been well lately his workrate is alot better

But I still prefer to have Di Maria in the lineup over him and I still prefer to have Ozil over him in that position.

No one holds up the ball as well as Ozil in attack for us

I don't mind if he stays. It's better to have him here, since he is humble and extremely liked among players and staff, rather than some young rising star who will sooner or later start complaining about playing time. I couldn't care less about his big wages, it's not like we are making loss anyway. He is decent sub and can give Özil some rest when needed. This move also gives us more time to scout carefully the next replacement rather than splashing out 30 mil for another unneeded player.

Guys, remember this, in football there are always two perspectives, what the club wants, and what the player wants. If those 2 positions dont match, you have problems.

On one hand, a player might listen to offers, while the club still want him (that's the higgy situation) and on the other hand, a player might want to stay, while the club is might be thinking something else (that's the kaka situation i think).

we will know soon enough, but last year perez failed to get Neymar, if he does fail to sign another young attacker, we might not look to move him.

Kaka, please GTFO. I would sell him for peanuts if I had the opportunity. The only problem is replacing him. I think a midfielder+jese would work if we fail to get the muniain/hazard/mouras of this world.

I wouldn't sell Kaka, still think he's not had a poor season at all this season, he fitted into the team when Di Maria was out and he put up a couple of man of the match performances scoring some golazos along the line, I also enjoyed how he and Marcelo ripped apart Apoel in the first leg of the CL QF, when they came on with Real drawing and 20 minutes remaining on the clock.

He's happy here, and the club should count it self lucky to have a player like Kaka on the bench, who can add a lot of quality when required, if all the parties, (ie Mou, Perez, and the player) are happy, then he should stay.

He WAS great player, but he's losing it. He would be taking minutes a way from Ozil.
