John Elkann hits back at Inter's Massimo Moratti over 2006 Calciopoli title remarks
Elkann asks Italian authorities to treat the Turin giants with fairness over the widely debated 2006 title, which has caused another row between the clubs involved
Juventus chief John Elkann has told Inter president Massimo Moratti to mind his own business over the Turin club's pursuit of the 2006 Calciopoli Scudetto.
Moratti recently told Juve president Andrea Agnelli to 'go on holiday' rather than worry about going to the CAS (Court of Arbitration for Sport) to have the 2006 title reinstated, after the Italian FA refused to accept their legal appeals last month.
Furious at the remarks made by the Inter supremo, Elkann has now hit back: "It's always right to listen to men of a certain age [Moratti], but Juventus plan their own holidays," he told Il Corriere dello Sport.
"Agnelli has acted coherently and asked for Juventus to be treated fair and equally. If this is not the case then it means there is something to hide.
"It's now down to Juventus to judge who is guilty or innocent, but we just want to be treated like the rest."
Meanwhile, the Juventus senior side beat their B team 4-1 on Thursday, with Arturo Vidal among the scorers.

Finally Elkann speaks out. Now if he had only done this 5 years ago, we would never have had our scudetto's taken away from us, we never would have went to Serie B, and Inter would still be looking for their 14th scudetto and their treble would have just been a dream.
Thanks alot Elkann for waiting a whole 5 years before speaking out..

Elkann is not a true Juventino Devi, not sure what true Juventino would rather pump money into a damn cricket club than Juventus.

Re: John Elkann hits back at Inter's Massimo Moratti over 2006 Calciopoli title remarks
Club patron John Elkann has backed Juventus’ decision to continue their battle in search of Calciopoli justice.
Juve this week outlined their plans to have the verdicts from the summer of 2006 re-examined after new evidence emerged.
Inter chief Massimo Moratti then urged Juve President Andrea Agnelli to “take a holiday”, but Elkann has hit back at the Nerazzurri official.
"We're happy to receive this advice from an older person, who with his wisdom recommends us to go on holiday, but holidays at Juve are prescribed,” the President of Exor and Fiat stated.
“We know that there's work to do, a lot of it, and that is our priority.
"Juventus have always been very consistent in calling for equal treatment, without considering the merits of the decision.
“I notice unease and advice from others, and this suggests that there's something to hide."
Turning to on the field matters, Elkann, a cousin of Andrea Agnelli, is looking to the future with optimism.
"This is a new team with great enthusiasm,” he added. “We've spent some time together and it's clear just how much confidence the team has in Antonio Conte's guidance.
“Juve are very lucky to have a huge number of fans and a very strong bond with them. We always see it, in good times and bad times.
“There is a great future ahead of us, and Conte manages to transmit this.”
He continued: “We have everything necessary to do well. The Scudetto? Yes, we can win it, although it's early to make predictions.
“But the team has undoubtedly been reinforced. Conte might not have great experience yet, but he has determination and professionalism in spades. And he knows the Juventus spirit perfectly well."
