Motta's Pissed

The Nerazzurri dominated the first half and were leading 1-0 through Wesley Sneijder, but two goals in eight minutes turned the game around in Beijing.

“It’s difficult to get over this,” the Italy international told the official Inter website.

“We made a few mistakes too and it’s a game we could’ve controlled better in the second half, especially as Milan didn’t do much.

“We kept the defence tight in the first half and all of us knew exactly what to do. Then we fell back a little, but it’s not as if the Rossoneri pushed us particularly hard.

“Their first goal came from a strange situation and the second was a long ball.”

Thiago Motta’s ugly tackle on Thiago Silva sparked a scuffle on the field, but Inter were for the most part angry at the referee.

“I spoke to him many times and just couldn’t understand it. He kept saying that he booked them too, but that’s not the point. Every time we protested, we got a card. In football apparently you can do 40 fouls and still not get punished.”

The ref was at fault for the Silva incident as well

If a players on the ground with his legs covering the ball you blow the whistle for dangerous play because he is causing his opponent to cease actively playing the ball...

The rule was created specifically for situations like this...but the ref was silent, Motta went in for the ball, and presto! we have a near-brawl

Despite the fact that the ref was wrong though, he needs to quit bitchin...Complaining isn't going to change the outcome of the game

The ball is clearly to the right of Thiago's legs and not in the middle of them where Motta stomped on him. Why are you all protecting him in a situation where he was clearly the guilty party?

quite clearly the boot comes down on T.Silva's inner thigh, no question about it. He makes a meal of it though, as any professional footballer would..

Moviola says its yellow card " he was going for ball" for going little harder then he should.
Even though i would give him red coz thats not 1st time him doing stupid shit like that. He should be more careful.

When i see it now it seems even clearer that that is a red, especially if Motta were to do Busquest and fell down in agony.

Full speed, I can see where the claims can come that he went for the ball. I know I would probably do the same thing. However, I'm not a professional where I can control my legs/feet as well as these guys so.....

And I STILL don't get how Sneijder got a red card for clapping at the ref 2 years ago. Stupid Milan paying off the ref.

Why would he stay and fight? He'd only get suspended further, while Milan would probably somehow be awarded a penalty.
