Re: France NT News, Formations & Results
Varane/Koscielny are the starters. Only reason Sakho got called up, per the press conference by DD, was to show gratitude for his performance against Ukraine. Given that he hans't played due to injury and doesn't start for Liverpool, his situation will be precarious very soon... if Abidal gets physically fit and Rami keeps top form, there is going to be a battle. You have Sakho, Mangala, Abidal and Rami fighting for 2 spots.BeautifulGame wrote:@sportsczy
Is Sakho starter for NT or Verane and Koscielny are the first choice pair?

When fit Sakho is first choice for Liverpool. So that isnt an issue for Sakho.

He should be fine then. He won't start with Koscielny and Varane healthy... but he'll make the team since DD feels that he was one of the main reasons the team is at the WC and deserves to be there (rightly so).

Call me out on it if you'd like, but Sakho will be a starter for you come the WC.

Re: France NT News, Formations & Results
no chance mcagger.... varane and koscielny are untouchable unless one gets injured. Varane is the tactical, smooth one who controls the line and kos is the aggressive one. the profiles are really complementary. Sakho would have to replace kos if anyone, and i can't see that mainly because kos is just better...

Based on current form and momentum, I'd slot Rami over Sakho as the former has been sensational for Milan.

Re: France NT News, Formations & Results
Very, very litte chance for Rami. Sakho is a mainstay according to DD... and mainly because the goal is really Euro 2016 in France. He wants to get the players that he will need for that tournament experience in this one. If Abidal gets his form back, he's the only one that could perhaps break the Kos/Varane/Sakho/Mangala foursome. It's going to be difficult though as Mangala is really the only one that's in question and he's in huge form... not getting called in this last group before the WC was a big indication for some, including Rami.

Rami is not good enough. Had his chances before. Probably 5th/6th choice now.

Re: France NT News, Formations & Results
The player that's going to bump someone off soon is Kurt Zouma... especially since he's playing at Chelsea starting next year. He's a freak imo. Laporte from Bilbao is not far off either. CB is really deep in France.
In fact, there's a lot of talent coming up very soon.

Varane-Mangala pairing... the were paired for 2 years with the U23 NT so they know each other very well.

We're 3 deep in the midfield and we start 3 midifelders... we are 3 deep in the forward line and start 3 forwards
Basically, if anyone gets injured or suspended in those areas, we're dead

Pogba-Cabaye-Matuidi + Nasri , Sissoko , Mavuba(?) , Diaby enough imo
Forward : Ribéry - Benz - Valbuena/Rémy + Griezmann ( hopefully ) , Big lad Giroud.
Not a lot of margin but still enough

Re: France NT News, Formations & Results
Nasri won't make the team. Diaby Can you imagine the dropoff from Matuidi-Cabaye-Pogba to Sissoko, Schneiderlin (i hope) and Guilavogui ()? Knowing DD, he won't even call up Schneiderlin. Mavuba is becoming like Diaby in terms of injury too
Also Benz to Giroud
Also Benz to Giroud

If it comes to Guilavogui and a 50% fit Diaby. Take the latter.

Re: France NT News, Formations & Results
There are going to be 6 midfielders. To me, 5 of them are set: Pogba, Cabaye, Matuidi, Sissoko (unfortunately) and Grenier. The last spot is a fight between Mavuba, Guilavogui and Schneiderlin. Also, there may be another spot if Grenier is not healthy. To me, it has to be Mavuba and Schneiderlin. But DD does strange things at times.
On the attack, the starting trio is Benz, Ribery and Valbuena. Griezmann and Lacazette have both been told they'd get called. Giroud and Remy are fighting it out for the last spot with Giroud having the lead. That's the 6 there.
On defense, the starters are Debuchy, Varane, Koscielny and Evra. Sagna, Sakho and Digne are guranteed too. The only question is the last CB spot between Mangala and Rami... i think Mangala has a pretty big lead there since DD has said he wants to bring kids that will be used in Euro 2016. That's 8.
The three keepers are Lloris, Mandanda and Ruffier.
To me, these will be the 23.

Nasri is out. He has a feud with DD that has gone public over the last month... there's no chance he makes it imo.

With the lack of deph in quality isn't better to bring Narsi in and let him on the bench just in case ?

Re: France NT News, Formations & Results
No... he's a forward, not a midfielder. we play a 433 and we need proper CMs. In terms of the wing, you have Ribery and Valbuena as the starter with Lacazette and Griezmann as the backups. You can also play Grenier or Sissoko there if you want. There's really no need for Nasri.
He has a crap attitude when he's benched, which is what's got him into trouble. Complaining about Deschamps two weeks ago to the media made it quasi-impossible for him to make the team.

Man tbh as much as i admire and respect Valbuena he's like Govou back then imo. Better have a good backup for Valbuena.

Re: France NT News, Formations & Results
Griezmann is the backup for both wings. He plays both sides for LaReal. I rate him higher than Nasri by quite a bit tbh. Lacazette is fantastic too.

Yeah... Ben Arfa and Menez flunked out. Nasri is doing good for club but ruined it for himself on NT.
