Navas has been easily the best Sevillan player this season actually, one of the best assist men in the league.

Navas is indeed a clasic winger, makes runs wide, great in 1v1, stretches the defense and maybe the best crosser in spain. VDB takes him when he wants his team to do something more simple. It can be simple yet so destructive to have a player like that putting crosses in the box late in game, with guys like Negredo or Llorente who are great in the air.

VDB takes him because tactically he presents something that the other players do not have.

I dont think Navas has been good, in fact too many times Negredo has had to do his own magic to score for them or create their two wideman have just been horrid, take the Getafe debacle for example embarrassing stuff

Negredo played with him in Sevilla and it clearly doesnt work, Bilbao try to do that with Llorente and it doesnt work either, these guys want the balls at their feet i am sure the fullbacks can whip in one or two crosses every now and then.... i just think he wasted a spot by calling him up b/c he went last time rather than going by his form, Torres and Pedro went for teh same reasons

pedro's inclusion is because of the presence of many barca players in the team. lets face it chemistry is very vital in internationals. there is no point in del bosq bringing someone new like adrian in place of pedro and trying to build that understanding at the tournament, when the going gets tough, someone like pedro coming off the bench may just brin that little bit extra with xavi, iniesta, busquets alreadyin the team cz they train together day in day out, Del bosq is very experinced to know this.

You don't understand though ... Navas has been lightining it up just as much as Adrian and moreso than Callejon.

It does work..Negredo has just been wasting all the headers lately lol, and he's still scoring despite being torrid, almost exclusively due to Navas.

Negredo has been forced to come down and get the ball, i am sure Negredo with better wingers than Navas and Reyes would've score and done alot better

Personally i think he should join Malaga for his own good, Navas should stay at Sevilla b/c them just like him are just average

Not sure why Navas inclusion should be questioned..... the combination between Navas and Llorente could be extremely deadly.....

Both might not start but coming off the bench both should make an impact, they did at the World Cup.

Theres alot more inclusions here to bitch and complain about than Jesus Navas, also like Josh said his form merits it. You can question Pedro, Torres and Negredo among others imo but not Navas.

@Mole, Navas has been as good as Pedro(in his own position) this season i.e. he has been crap, i have watched many of their games he has just been horrible such a one tricky pony that gets caught every so often

Negredo on the other hand i agree should not have gone, but Soldados last couple of games werent exactly impressive imho

I had questions over that position as well. I think the boss will select Alonso because he plays more deeper than Busquests and also just to satisfy the Madrid fans that he actually picks Madrid players. Alonso and Busquests have been two consistent holding midfielders for Spain and it is hard to separate them in terms of form...
